Cheap hotel
The room had no heating and was cold. A friendly guy on reception tried to help, but had already given the only heater to another guest.

Needs a refurb.
Good location, friendly reception. Room No.2 Ground Floor. Bathroom clean and adequate. Bedroom clean but requires a major refurb, the bed mattress was very poor and uncomfortable. We needed a hotel on a budget this was just about ok.

Disgusting
Absolutely disgusting. Cockroaches on the bed when we arrived. The bed was stained yellow and rubbish all over floor. It felt like the whole hotel was leaning to one side when we walked up the stairs and everywhere was dusty and dirty. It was so bad we checked back out as i didnt want to sleep somewhere with cockroaches on the bed. They called but refused any form of refundeven though the hotel was clearly not fit for purpose. I will be reporting to environmental health as they completely ignore any complaint.

CRIME SCENE
Don't go to this hotel! It's crap. I called the hotel in advance for 2 days and said that I am very sensitive to dust and that the room must be very clean.... I enter the hotel door and the first thing I see is dust... In my head I think that no they should get an honest chance. I step into the room and it was a nightmare. DON'T GO THERE PLEASE. The room was just dust and the bed was full of bacteria. The toilet was like a crime scene

Not what I expected Hotel
The walls are painted in Black. No staff to ask. The door locks got jammed and cannot call anyone. Scary in terms of an emergency..

Nothing was good except for the hotel's location! They expected me to go through the 5-day stay with just one towel and one roll of toilet paper. There was no heating, and they never took anything we said seriously. They just sold the room and disappeared.

Great location right next to Earls Court Station. Only negative is it's 5 stories with no elevator. Staff member was super helpful.

Well, where to start!! Windows didn’t lock, it had toilet paper stuck in between the windows to keep them shut. The shower was broken and dirty, the carpet was dirty and stained. The room had been painted black to hide the condition, everything light or socket wise had black paint. Worst hotel I’ve stayed in during the last 20 years?

The ‘deluxe’ rooms were not that at all! There was dust on the bed and floor from a new curtain pole being put up. Saints on the carrier and walls. The shower was blocked when used. Tap on the sink was very loose like the toilet seat. The mattresses might as well have been non existent and constant people up and down the stairs and rooms was not a good nights sleep! Appalling entrance as the keypad did not like the code given and therefore not able to get in my room for 35 mins.

My room felt like a literal cupboard. It was in a basement. No staff on site. Tiny, cramped room. The room smelt bad, was hot, and the window didn’t open. The shower head had to be held up by hand. Awful bed, and loud outside meant I’ve barely slept in days. This hotel ruined my trip. Avoid.

I very much enjoyed the location of the hotel and having all the facilities i needed in one room. I was greeted by the hotel owner only to tell me i needed to check my email for self checkin. This was not a polite greeting and could have been handled with more care. When i went to the room i had booked, i found the tv not working and the internet also failed. I was not told about either and when i asked about the TV, the owner just made it seem like a hassle. The owner then went later after i expressed my frustration to get a tv ariel for me. This then fixed the tv issue until the signal failed and i spent the next 30 mins re configuring the cable to make this work as i was not able to get hold of the owner. I emailed customer care about this issue and also not being able to get hold of the owner. The customer care were not very helpful. I had read online that people had been able to leave bags but i could not get hold of the owner to organise this. The cleaners did not speak much English so they could not help with getting hold of the owner. None of the numbers listed worked and left me very stressed. I do not appreciate emails with excuses about the tv either. Overall the room itself was fine. The bed could do with a mattress protector as the bed was not very comfortable. I loved the location so that was a massive plus. Please for future, review the room facilities before people arrive and improvement on customer service would be appreciated.

This hotel has no staff and you are expected to check in online before arrival. I came with my family; we found the room and corridors dirty, the bathroom was covered in damp and mould. WiFi did not work. Quite the worst hotel I have used in London in 30 years of visiting the city.

DO NOT STAY HERE! My room was completely infested with bed bugs. When we made the hotel aware, they did absolutely nothing to help. No apologies, no clean room and no compensation for making me and my family sleep out in reception over night as we had only realised the infestation at around 02:00. When speaking to the person in the room across the corridor, they also had the same problem. The rooms and the hotel in general was dirty and is falling apart. If you want to sleep in a dirty, bed bug infested room, have your belongings infested, or maybe you fancy sleeping in a dirty reception, or even taking a shower in a filthy bathroom and have no refund- book yourself a room at The Amsterdam Hotel.

We did not enjoy our stay at the Amsterdam Hotel as we understood the room was small but was made even smaller by an unnecessary set of table and chairs that took up space. There was also no proper blind on the window, just a sheer curtain that didn’t even cover the length of the window meaning there was no privacy and it was very bright as soon as the sun rose as the curtain did absolutely nothing. It was very hot while we were in London, which we understand is not overly common, but with no fly screen or proper blind, there was no way to block out the flys and bugs from coming inside while also letting some air in with the window open, as there was no fan or any other way to circulate the air in the room. The room was also dirty with tissues from previous guests under the bed and other items that had clearly not been cleaned. The TV did not work for regular TV channels and the only way to use the TV was for streaming services which were not provided. We would be happy to log in using our own streaming services but unfortunately we are not from the UK, as I’m sure most guests are not, which means that we were not able to access the streaming services that we use back home. We would have been happy with just being able to watch regular UK TV to watch the news, weather and other local programs. The hotel itself did not have a lift and we were on the second floor which was okay but the staircase was very narrow and slanted, making it feel like it could collapse under your feet.
