2/10 Poor

When I was checking in the front decks computer kept feeezing during payment. I wasn’t able to use the credit card that I wanted and ended up using a debit card. I had my disabled Mother with me and I needed a cart for my luggage. The employee acted like it was gonna be a huge inconvenience to go find one an another floor so I had to do without. After getting up to the room, my mom sat in the recliner( which is the reason why I stayed there) and the chair wouldn’t work and I had to dump her out of the chair... I proceed to look around the room and notice the toiletries they provided were half used and enough toilet paper for one use..

Nice hotel with wonderful staff who were attentive to all any any needs. Staff always said hello and had a smile on their faces including housekeeping. Hotel was clean, room had everything needed. Close to the freeway but absolutely no noise heard at all. Hotel has free washer and dryer facilities. Will definitely be back if visiting the area again

Average. But, wouldn't recommend.

The Desk Rep was nice. Asked about my condition because she said I looked "wore out". So, she was courteous and kept conversation brief -- which I appreciated. The lobby was fine. Vending areas were clearly indentifiable. However, there were was nothing to mask various odors coming from guests' rooms (hair products, burning marijuana, etc) which took away from the elevators entry. The room was nice, cool, and mostly comfortable. But, my BIGGEST issue is that the mattress was so severely worn that it had a permanent imprint in the middle which made trying to lie flat impossible. It made for a very uncomfortable sleep. That's a problem for me because I've never in life had to sleep on a lopsided, over-worn mattress. So, I'll give it 5/10. Average but wouldn't recommend it.

August 31, 2018/ Friday night. The night shift attendant was not friendly at all. I recall going upstairs to check on my mom to make sure she had everything she needed before I checked in for the night and was telling her the lady who apparently was working the midnight shift was not friendly and stand offish and she said immediately she got the same impression when she went downstairs to ask for an extra blanket. I thought this was a coincidence because we both felt the same way on two individual experiences with the same lady on the first night we checked in. Someone needs to send her back through orientation on hospitality. I thought it was strange that she would hide behind the desk to have conversation with me and then peep her head up at the end of it.

Do not stay here

My stay was less than pleasant. I had to change rooms after the first night because the door continually lost program. Also requested a non smoking room and I was put on the smoking floor. My room was a non smoking room but it still smelled like a giant cigarette. I was told I would receive a free night for my troubles but never received any credit. My second room was better but the ac began to freeze up so it was a little warm. The pantry downstairs that has sodas and such for sale would have been handy however the cooler was obviously not working as the sodas and yogurts that were in there were hot. The staff was friendly but the property needs a lot of work. Also, it is advertised as having a pool but has signs saying the pool was permanently closed. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone staying longer than a night.

cleaniness

We check into our room Thursday night and on Friday we thought we would have a room clean, but no. No maid service, therefore, we had to spent the whole weekend cleaning our own room and running up to the office to get towels and toilet tissues. The bed were terrible to sleep in, the mattress sink in on one side. The breakfast is not included you had to buy if you want to eat anything. We went out for breakfast except we had it in our room. I guess since the hotel have a kitchen, you can fix your own breakfast.

Had a good experience

I was visiting a friend and I was going to stay at another hotel but my friend told me that area wasn’t good. So they recommended me to stay here and I was expecting it to have some flaws (because of the other reviews) it turned out to be really nice and I didn’t have any problems. Checking in and out was easy. The room had a kitchen included. Everything worked Properly. The room and bathroom was very clean. I’ll be staying there again next time I visit.

Business Stay

The hotel clerk made us feel vey welcome. It was pouring down rain and there was no pravillion Tom unload the car. There ac was on and freezing us but the clerk came to the room and fixed the thermostat which we didn't even see. Over all the location was great but we like or breakfast at hotels we stay at. The elevator was fairly dirty and we probably won't stay there again.

In need of an upgrade

Tired old place, way too many nicer places within a mile away. Caters to the low cost trade. I won't go back to a Candlewood Suites ever. The rain ran into my room. Stunning in this day and age.

Very nice staff

The lady at the front desk couldn’t find my reservation due to name updated on my reservation but was very patient in trying to het the details and getting me a room. I had to end my trip a day in advance and they didn’t charge me for the last day. Was ao courteous at the time of checkout and helped me by creating a new IHG account so that I could accumulate the nights. Amazing staff, will definitely go back when I vist Memohis next time.

It was advertised on your website that a continental breakfast was part of the service. Upon arrival I asked what time breakfast starts and was informed that you didn’t have that service. If there is no breakfast then it shouldn’t be advertised on your website.

Can't review, unable to type enough characters in

The staff were excellent in accommodating me when I was unknowingly placed in a smoking room. I was unaware that in 2017 smoking is allowed in public places in Tennessee and found this disconcerting and disappointing. The suites I stayed in in other Candlewood hotels had separate bedrooms which is what I was expecting. The room I was assigned did not.

Hotel in nice area that need updated.

This hotel was just ok. Furniture and floor in room was not in good condition. Storm came through and knock power out for hours and no backup generator? Also the people above me were very noisy. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The area was the best part about my stay at this hotel.

Location is great for me. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. On the negative side, it has been very frustrating to wake up in the morning, and not have HOT WATER. I have stayed a this location several times, and have not made a big deal out of this, as I understand that stuff happens, however, this time I stayed for 10 days straight, and had to call the front desk to turn on the hot water every morning, and even at that, the water was tepid at best. I am not one who gives reviews frequently, but I thought this was something you need to know, and fix quickly, or you will lose customers. I would like to continue staying there, but I must say that I this happens during my next stay, I will change Hotels. Thank you.
