A good size room with a comfortable bed and a good view. The bathroom had a good shower with conditioner as well as shampoo and shower gel, and the hotel also provided body lotion. Oddly, there was a separate bath in the bedroom area, but all the toiletries were bolted to the wall in the shower. There was little by way of storage space in the bedroom. Only one side of the bed had a bedside lamp, and although the hotel was almost empty, they were unable to provide a second one. There were hairs on the floor in the bedroom and bathroom, and the shower screen looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in ages.
The buffet breakfast on the first morning was lack lustre and the staff uninterested. The tables had not been properly cleaned and had crumbs on them. On our second and third mornings, there were so few guests that they offered an à la carte breakfast, which was much better.
The manager was very helpful. He organised a further clean of our room after we complained. We had been given the name of a reliable driver, and the manager called him, arranged a tour and negotiated a price.
The rooftop pool and bar were out of action, having been damaged by a recent storm. The gym was open. The equipment was adequate, but did not appear to have been cleaned recently.
