Mixed Accomodation butGgreat Location
Wonderful location, fine reasonably-priced restaurant, very helpful front desk. Roof pool and plenty of good outdoor deck chairs for sunning and looking at sea. Room very spartan, one cheap uncomfortable desk chair, no others except two good ones on balcony. No pictures on walls. No frills. Bathroom nicely appointed, bright, beautiful. Shower pretty chilly.

Excellent location, great service
After walking around for a while, we realized this was the nicest hotel in Progreso. The location was perfect, it had service on the beach and the rooms were very nice. Both of the men at the beach named Luis were amazing and Sergionat the restaurant did an incredible job.

Beautiful restful hotel across from Progreso Beach
Very enjoyable stay, room was very clean. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. We had a very convenient room on the first floor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some spoke English, so this helps a lot. The only minor problem was slow speed internet for the TV. This was our second year to stay at this location. Nice rooftop pool, and lovely view of the beach across the street. Close to lots of restaurants, as well as the one on site. They held our luggage at the desk, and let us use their beach towels, so we could still enjoy the beach until our ride came later in the afternoon. They are very helpful.

.Cheap
Nice place, good location but seems like you're trying to milk every penny. It would be nice to have a frig. for my stuff not the stuff you're trying to sell. I travel a fair amount and I've never been asked to pay for an extra coffee capsule. I think people would prefer paying a little more instead of the old nickel and dime.

I wouldn’t stay there again
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, great location. The beach was nice and everything was within walking distance. However, when we got there the tv didn’t work. Next, the remote to the AC didn’t work, the coffee pot leaked water, the handle came off the shower. All of these things the staff handled right away. Twice there was no water for a short period of time (they were changing tanks??). These things are not big deals. The worst of it was the tiny bottled waters we purchased in the restaurant after a long walk on the Malecón. We were charged over $200 pesos ($11) for one small bottled water. We asked the waiter if that was correct and were assured that it was correct. Absolutely ridiculous. It was also very loud. Nothing the hotel could do about that but there was a very loud clanging-banging from a large piece of construction equipment two lots over. Also, lots of street noise.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We enjoyed the convenience of being right by the beach and the access to the beach club chairs and shaded areas. We especially loved all the staff we encountered on the premises; from the lobby staff to the servers at the restaurant and beach club. Everyone was kind and helpful. We can’t wait to be back.

6/10 Good

Way expensive for the overall facilities of the hotel, room was ok, bed was excellent. Beach Club opens way to late (11AM) and closes early (5PM), the best times for this beach is either closed or you have to leave the chairs because they need to close. At night it is dificult to sleep due to the live music until midgnight (at least saturday night) and the street noise. Property should consider upgrading doors and windows to stop outside noise. Restaurant is good.

Beach front, pool, good AC. Only lacking a fridge in the room. Restaurant was good. No elevator for accessibility.

A Great Merida Escape!
Very nice accommodation right on the Malecon with a nice pool as well! Friendly staff who work hard to make you comfortable. Nice, clean large room with a great shower. I prefer a firm mattress but this was still quite comfortable. Such a nice visit!

the room is small, you can only sit on the bed, poor lighting, there were mosquitoes.
María, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

I found the room very small to fit a King size bed, to the point that we needed to avoid hitting the corner of the bed when entering the room. The mattress was extremely soft so it was a bit uncomfortable. Good air conditioning, the only issue was the bright digital display shining through across the room when you try to sleep. The food was great, I highly recommend the pizza margarita.

Relaxing hotel stay
They had their own sunbeds/umbrella at the beach with no extra cost. Nice poolarea, asked to turn off the music blasting throug the speakers, they did no problem. Very expensive resturant, but good food. All the reasturants along the beach have the same prices. Head into town for more reasonable prices. 10 min walk from bus station.

Excellent property. This is a beach hotel, probably the best in the area. Extremely clean facilities and room. Functional room with everything you need - modern - clean - and very very comfortable bed. The service was excellent from check in to check out and everything in between. The Italian restaurant has really become our favorite In Mexico not only because of the quality and taste of the food but the service and ambiance / beach front experience. I was hesitant about staying in the area as were Hilton members / fours season snobs BUT this hotel was excellent. The area is great too. Safe and beautiful.

they had good food but held midnite diner party
We had an issue with the hotel restaurant our last evening there. We were definitely pushed to eat our evening dinner and hurried us to vacate the restaurant We discovered at midnite that they were having a special group coming for a dinner party after the regular business hours who were a special "honored guests" dinner party. We were awakened at midnite with a loud Mariachi band playing ,loud music till 1:30 in the morning. The music resounded throughout the hotel and many guests were down at the hotel office complaining. We received no apologies or financial compensation. !

THE BEDS ARE TERRIBLE, THEY SEAM TO BE THETRE FOREVER, NO SUPORT AT ALL FROM YOUR BODY, YOU WAKE UP AS IF A TRAIN PASSED OVER YOU IN THE NIGHT, NO FURNISHING AT ALL, BASICALY THE BED A VERY OLD DESK AND IT´S CHAIR, NOT EVEN A LOUNGE CHAIR, NOTA CASE GOOD FOR YOUR CLOTHER, THE CLOSSET, JUST A TUBE WITH A COUPLE OF HANGERS, NO DOORS AT ALL, ALL YOU CLOTHES GET EXPOSED, THE ROOM LOKKS TERRIBLE , THE TERRACE HARDLY 2 FEET WIDE, NONSENSE.....THE SWIMING POOL VERY COLD, NO WAY TO SWIM.........THE BUILDING ALL IMPROVED, STAIRS ALLOVER CONNETCING A OLD PART WITH A NEW PART A LOT OF DANGEROUS STEPS NOT SHOWN WITH ANY KIND OF SIGN.VERY BAD

6/10 Good

Personnel is fantastic and anttentive although we found a lot of smaller issues, wich in addition made it a bit dissapointing. Dirt found in a couple of drawers. Dirt in the shower floor Safety deposit box broken No bathroom near the pool so you can guess what people might do. I have been arround a lot and this might be the only hotel that holds a large amount on your card as a deposit for "incidentals"! They don't serve breackfast at their restaurant and they charge a mandatory tip included in the restaurant check. The mandatory tip the deposit for incidentals are good enough reasons for not going back as this makes me feel they are not being honest and clear. Even the front desk person was ashamed tho ask for the deposit but owner must be enforcing this.
