Across the street rom the hotel is an undertaker/funeral parlor, and this says it all.
The hotel is worn down, and tired, paint is peeling off, not a pleasent smell in the room, no kettle for making coffee, staircase and steps made of wood, and so seems the ceiling in the room also to be, as one could clearly hear people moving and walking in the rooms on the next floor? Would hate to be there in case of a fire!
Electriccal heater in the room, nothing in the bathroom, hairdryer stopped working after being turned on.
The usual story about ecology and saving water in the bathroom, however the toilet had only ONE button to flush, so no savings there!
Pictures on your site Hotels.com do not look like the real thing.
The hotel says it is a 3 star COMFORT hotel?
The inspector who gave this rating has clearly not been visiting the hotel, as there is no comfort, I would hate to stay at a 2 star Brit hotel, if this is a 3 star hotel.
Admitted not expensive, but all hotels in Cambrai had more or less the same price, we chose this one because of the restaurant!
However the restaurant was CLOSED on friday, saturday and sunday which is not mentioned on your site?
The lady in the reception told us to go to a restaurant which was supposed to be a 5 minutes drive away.
However after spending a whole day in a car, one does not want to drive in the dark to find a restaurant, so we went by foot next door to IBIS hotel, whre we ate and shared a bottle of rosé for Euro 11,00 which is a steal!
