It was a beautiful place to stay! My son and I did a quick trip to visit Middleburg and attend the VA hound show. We had to leave early the next morning, and they were wonderful about everything! We are planning to come back and stay longer next time! We loved it there!

When I arrived a barefoot man shuffled out to check me in . Did not offer a key. Gave me a room right near the door. Was very creepy. I did not stay

There was dead bugs everywhere, previous guests nicotine pouches were in the bedroom, glasses were dirty, and just overall poorly maintained. Breakfast was good though.

Room was clean. No arm chair to sit and read in. Just single dining room chairs Lots of debris around the swimming pool. Three pool vacuum cleaners at work. No word on where the hot tub was. In the bathroom very large tub needed sealant around the edges. Plenty of parking. Staff was difficult to find. Two guests expected to meet for early check in but didn t find anybody there. I decided not to stay for breakfast.

This was the nicest room we stayed in on our week long road trip. The room was really lovely!! The bed was the most comfortable. The bathroom was great; very updated, sparkling clean, fabulous tub, excellent shower. We were so happy. The French door had a view outside to the green rolling hills and barn. Ellen, Dan and Deron are all so nice and helpful. The town a short drive away is so lovely and historic. Seems very upscale but welcoming. Reasonably priced dining at many nice places. We had dinner at The Oyster Bar ( more than oysters) it was so delicious. Highly recommend. Ellen suggested we try it and I’m so glad. This was a really fun stop. What a gorgeous area of this country.

I was unable to stay at the property... no one was on-site or around to check me in and/or provide directions. I walked around the property, rang doorbells, and called by phone, but unfortunately received no response. As a result, I arrived at my appointment in the area—the very reason I booked a stay there—without being able to shower or change my clothes. I had to find another hotel in the middle of the night... What a terrible experience; I have never encountered anything like this in all the time I have been using Expedia.

The only positive attribute of the place was it's proximity to Middleburg. The house was very dirty and disarray. The kitchen, which was open to guests, had dirty dishes and pots and pans in the sink the whole time. The kitchen counter was loaded with stuff. The front room, where checkin took place was a mess -- the desk area for the attendant had clothes on the floor and various items on the floor. The swimming pool had algae across the bottom -- it had not been vacuumed forever and you would not want that pool water to touch you. The furniture around the pool was shabby and not clean. The guest rooms looked nothing like the photos -- a rinky dink window air conditioner was the cooling method. The room smelled musty as if it had not been aired out. The tub and shower curtain the bathroom, including the tub mat were terribly yellowed and aged. We did not take a show as a result. We did not go in the pool as a result. And we refrained from breakfast as a result. To add further insult to us for this stay, the power went out our night there. When I called the staff, his response was: nothing I can do about it. He didn't even call us first to see if we were ok. It was essentially, 'good luck to you.' Not only would I NEVER return here, unless new owners bought it and refurbished it. I can only say that people should STAY AWAY from this place. It is unworthy to be listed as a B and B.

Although the roomwas very clean and nice the surrounding property was dirty and unkept andthe pool water was green. The dining area had syrup container on table that was so old it was turning into sugar. When we went to get breakfast the second day our dishes were still on table from our breakfast the day before. We were not told pool would not be avaiable because would not have booked this b&b if knew this. We left early and ate in road.

Really disappointed. The house looks nice on the outside but on the inside, there was serious need of cleaning and upgrade. We rented the guest house since there were 3 of us. Very outdated and dirty. The comforter not clean. The second bed was the pull out sofa. The host later brought a pile of linens as if just out of the dryer for the bed…not folded and not made up before we arrived. The worst part was a very strong must odor. Smelled moldy. We just couldn’t get comfortable. Moldiness makes my mom cough so we had to leave. Not at all good.
