This is my favorite hotel chain. The rooms are always comfortable and spacious with different living spaces. However, our stay last night was frustrating. Even though the posting said breakfast would be provided, upon check-in they informed me that it would be $11/person. Had this been stated in hotels.com when I booked it would have been fine, but I told the front desk attendant and she said, no it’s all been updated online. I showed her my hotels.com posting where it still clearly stated breakfast was provided and she still said no, that I would have to ask the breakfast attendant the next morning. I asked to see a manager and she said there wasn’t one on duty. She was very young, rude and condescending in tone. Then when we got into the room we were given a room that had paint on the carpet in the closet, a blanket that wasn’t folded in the closet—normally they’re in plastic but the pillow and blanket were just laying there—and the dresser was missing the top piece (photo attached). While the rest of the room was clean and very comfortable this experience has left me feeling frustrated. The surrounding area is very nice and safe, and we did sleep well, but because of this experience I will not stay here again.
