This was our third stay at Red Rocker. It is always the loveliest place to visit, so easy to get to downtown and Violet could not be more helpful or kind. We will be back again!
We have stayed at the Red Rocker Inn several times before, the staff is always sweet and accomadating to whatever you need. We love going down for breakfast in the morning and enjoying the company of others if we wish. the fireplace is always going and its very cozy. you can walk just a couple of blocks and be in downtown black mountain. the restaurants are good and you have several varities.
Staff were very personable. Mike upgraded our room upon arrival. Violet could not do enough for us. She was also trying her hand at cooking breakfast ā and it was exceptionally good.
Beautiful old home that has been well kept and beautiful inside and out . The location was within walking distance of town and in a very quiet neighborhood. Would stay here again and again ! Breakfast was wonderful too!
Wonderful stay and will be back. Only downside is noise carries easily so the room was a bit noisy. Breakfast was terrific staff attentive, helpful, and extremely convenient location. We will be back.
Beautiful boarding house on the National Registry. Highly recommend staying here. Delicious breakfast, made to order, daily. Popular restaurant by night. My husband said the trout was the best he has ever had, anywhere.
Walk to town or to Tomahawk Lake
Town is a popular shopping destination
20 minutes to Biltmore and the Blue Ridge museum and parkway. Also check out the town museum and the huge antique store just off the highway.
A lovely and old-fashioned inn run by people who care. Only the breakfast was a disappointment--and I gather that may have been due to some unusual pressures. Still. When the crepes come out without cheese, and then come back with (un-melted) cheese and pretty much cold...after you've waited 45 minutes...
We were greeted by the owner, Mike and he was so very nice. The staff was amazing and very helpful!
We had breakfast and dinner each night and we were very pleased!
Wonderful Inn!
This was a lovely spot for a little birthday get-away. The flowers and coffee mug gift for the birthday boy in our room was perfect.
Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed, the temperature was fine for some toasty August days, and the walkability to awesome Black Mountain town was great. Breakfast was a treat both mornings. Recommend!
I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay. It was comfortable and peaceful. I stopped in on the way home for a quick quiet night, because Iāve seen this place many times and always wanted to stay. It was perfection! The staff was so helpful and accommodating because I was running late getting in. My bed was so comfy and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I even struck up a friendship with a group of other guests. I really canāt say enough good things and I am absolutely coming back in the fall for a longer stay with my husband.
Did not have enough help. Breakfast was supposed to be included but not enough staff to make it. No caffeinate coffee and the room was too warm with no temp controls. No waters in fridge as advertised
