The room was very basic and the restaurant although the food was excellent, the service was very slow. Breakfast is only served from 8am which for a business traveler is to late.

Lovely hotel. We stayed in a room in the building next to the hotel. Had a lovely evening meal one night. Nice breakfast but the only niggle was that they did run out of a couple of items ar our last breakfast

Hotel is a bit dated and the double room was on the smaller size, but adequate for our stay. Missed not having air conditioning, especially during this hot spell and only having a desk fan to keep cool. Location was excellent, with easy access to both north and south coastlines. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice.

Lovely little hotel with great staff and rooms. We were lucky enough to stay in the Lostwithiel room beautifully comfortable bed with a bathroom that was huge. The breakfast was amazing with the hospitality second to none. All in all we had a great stay and will return when next visiting Bodmin.

First impression of reception was a bit of a muddle trying to locate my booking, but was shown to our bedroom which was very clean bright and airy, bed and linen looked new. Please get the small things right, window stays that don't because of the double glazing, net curtains need proper fixings,a days work could fix all the many small things that spoil the good ones. The dinning room and consevatory which is used for breakfast, are very good with fresh flowers on all tables.Cooked breakfast was very good but having waited for a while please don't serve a good meal that has been in the warmer and is getting dry. There is a main road oposite, noisey in the morning quiet at night. For the money could do better but has good off road parking.

Lovely staff & nice food, just needs a bit of renovation on the outside & in the rooms, with silly little things like a information guide in the rooms with things like Wi-Fi codes would be good, and extra pillows available to use in the rooms go such a long way. I rate it 6-10 but could be so much higher if a bit of thought was given to making it better.🤔

4/10 Regular

We went out into town and returned to the hotel at around 5:30pm, expecting to have something to eat. Unfortunately, the chef refused to cook us any food, explaining that he already had a table of 19 guests to cater for and that this was enough for him. We even asked if we could order food later in the evening, but he still refused to cook anything for us. We were extremely disappointed and were effectively left without anything to eat. This is simply not the level of service you expect when staying at a hotel. The location was also very disappointing. The hotel is nowhere near the beach and feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, which made the lack of food options even more frustrating. Overall, a very poor experience. Being paying hotel guests and being refused food because the chef did not want to cater for any more people is completely unacceptable. We were left hungry and extremely disappointed with our stay.
