I was initially allocated Room 210, but unfortunately, the sink was blocked. After reporting the issue, I was moved twice more before settling in Room 329, which was quieter and away from the road noise.
Room 329 was compact and quite small. The TV was mounted at an awkward angle, making it difficult to watch unless lying in bed. There was also a noticeable lack of accessible plug sockets, which made it impossible to use the iron properly as the cable wouldn’t reach the area needed. The kettle had a strong, unpleasant smell of descaler, which made it unusable.
On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were lovely and fluffy, which helped ensure a decent night’s sleep.
Unfortunately, the onsite restaurant was a let-down. The salmon was overcooked and dry, and the jacket potato was clearly microwaved and extremely dry—overall, not a great dining experience.
A mixed stay with a few positives, but quite a few issues that made it less than ideal.
