Lockbox frozen shut, but eventually got into it. Then the door’s lock was also frozen and worked inconsistently. After about 10-15 minutes of jimmying the lockbox and door, we eventually got in. Then locked the door from the inside, found that we couldn’t unlock it. Called the host to tell them we were trapped. After maybe 20 minutes they showed up. After they struggled with the door, they eventually got it unlocked. Together, we couldn’t come up with a way to consistently operate the lock. Also reported that the heater wasn’t working. When it was determined that it was not possible to fix either issue, I asked for another room. They said they were fully booked and couldn’t move us. So we had to keep the door unlocked and cold all night long. Feeling unsafe, I stayed up all night to watch over my family. Not at all the luxuriously restful experience I thought I’d paid for. When our nextdoor igloo stayed vacant all night, I felt extra lied to about “fully booked.” It seems what the host meant was “if I switch rooms, I won’t be able to rent your room and make revenue from it.” When the cleaning crew showed up in the morning at our checkout time, we told them about the door and the heater, they said they knew and acknowledged it was a longstanding issue. The igloo is such a cool concept, but I’m extremely disappointed to have paid as much as I did and not even received a restful night’s sleep, and even more furious to have been gaslit by the hosts.

The igloo was clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed. Parking was very convenient. The igloo made THE PERFECT place to see the Northern Lights which were right over head! We were able to find everything we needed for food and drinks in nearby Hella. Excellent stay!

The hotel was easy to find. There were a lot of space for parking. There is a small community house (container), which provides a good coffee machine including hot choc and tea. One can sit there, but you will be seated next to the toilets and showers. To get to the igloo you need to walk a small, unpaved path. Because of the size of the rocks its difficult to bring your suitcase to it. Inside our Igloo were 3 heaters. We went mid october and the weather wasnt too bad. Therefore it got warm inside. Easy check in/out.

Better signage a to where to locate the "Service Building" especially after nightfall. We arrived within the desired check-in window of 4 pm - 7 pm, but it was pitch back (October 28th) and there were no signs as to which way to proceed at the fork in the road to easily find the Service building and retrieve our key and igloo number.

Was an amazing experience. Really fascinating watching stars and northern lights!! Little on the privacy. Maybe fences bigger. Open area that has nothing curtain and see able from lot. Garbages were full in bathroom forgot to empty. Otherwise perfect!!

Nice Glamping experience with some caveats

Stayed in the summer and very impressed when I arrived at the unique space and bathrooms. There was lots of closet space and a fridge! It was actually hot in August (66-68 degrees, tank top weather). When I pulled back the curtains, huge flies everywhere. Killed at least 6 and still some. Also, my glasses changed to dark the whole time, so lots of UV exposure in there (can close curtains, but top open). Warming blankets, so toes warm at night when cold. Overall an interesting experience save for the two negatives above.

Beautiful landscape

The view was incredible with wild horses running during sunset. Weather didn’t cooperate for northern lights viewing. The booking wasn’t clear on the bathroom situation, so we had booked the separate bath house mistakenly. Would recommend booking the built in bathroom as there is also some space to put luggage.

Very unique, my wife doesn’t like the dark, but this was a very cozy experience. She loved this .Didn’t get to see the aurora. (Cloudy) but I glad I still did it. Had the one without the bathroom, and it was a well lit path to walk on and graveled, showers and bathrooms seamed to be always available and clean
