It was a great place to stay. The room was clean and beds were comfy. A bit of a slow start getting into our room. The continental breakfast was perfect to start off the day.

I've stayed here twice now and both times were nice.. I enjoyed the girls working when I checked in and checked out they were very nice and joked around with me a little. Breakfast was a little weird because the girl was new and doing it by herself, but she did a good job.. the view is amazing with a very beautiful view of the sunset over the Columbia River.. I would definitely recommend it and will stay again if I'm passing through..

My only complaint is the fact that the toilet seat would not stay up making it a little hard to take a leak because I had to hold the seat up. We loved the location. Trains, boats, cars and the Dalles dam all made a pleasant cacophony of noise that was easy to have a great night’s sleep. I would recommend this place to stay in.

Love, the fact that when we checked in late after a long day of work, they had wine, beer and food available to purchase. Was able to sit out on the patio on a beautiful evening, looking at the stars. And the snowy Mountain and the distance as well! Enjoy the great breakfast on the patio in the morning. But for a rainy day as they have a nicely appointed dining area with the same view! Our room faced riverfront, and where we’re just very happy with these accommodations.

It was an enjoyable stay. It's a bit out of the way but worth it. Room was clean and quiet, nice view of the river, bridge and dam. I wasn't able to enjoy the breakfast because we decided to sleep in a bit. The bed was that comfortable.

6/10 Good

The pros: the view is lovely, the staff are kind and helpful. The cons: Rather run-down, my room smelled strongly of disinfectant (which might seem like a plus but it's a gross smell), there was a dirty towel left on the door from the previous guest, there were stains on my sheets, and the coffee was terrible.

My favorite place to stay in The Dalles. The staff is very friendly and attentive. A little off the beaten path but, well work it. A few months ago therw was live music on the patio and good conversation with others there. Great for families too.

When we first drove up I was convinced this was not our hotel. Looked like a total dump. We paid $158 so I expected more. While the views are great, our room smelled like disinfectant, and the floors were filthy. We had to put towels down to walk in our bare feet. Seriously, the bottoms of our feet turned black. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was welcome.
