It's the third time I've stayed at the Chateau Elan, and I was extremely disappointed in the overall cleanliness and facilities provided.
Our room had dead bugs around the place (floor and bathtub), which I noticed immediately upon check-in. The bathtub looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned, with dirt rims around the inside of the tub tub, (I booked the spa suite purely for the bath and I was too turned off to use it).
In addition, the main light didn't work in the room and given I was rushing to attend a wedding, I didn't have time to waste and managed to do my makeup with very poor lighting.
Overall the room was terribly dusty, to the point that my sinus' has become severely inflamed the last two days with mild nose bleeds (as I am pregnant and sensitive to dust).
Breakfast buffet was just as poor, with the food being Luke warm and hardly felt fresh (aside for the fried eggs I ordered fresh).
I don't typically like leaving negative reviews, but for the premium price paid, I'm extremely disappointed. I cancelled alternate accomodation as it was my preference to return to this venue, based on two positive past experiences. I'd like to hope Chateau Elan takes this seriously, as I verbalised my concerns at checkout, and am awaiting to hear from management.
