We enjoyed our stay immensely. Our only complaint was that is somewhat noisy early in the morning and sometimes later in the evening due to having to sleep with windows opens.

Wonderful location, just a short walk to the beach. The room amenities were minimal (no TV or AC), but location, location, location makes it worthwhile. Can bike on bike trails right from the property and The Grove restaurant on the beach is a real plus. Also the Gen Store and ice cream parlor across the street means may never have to leave.

This is a basic property with minimal amenities and small rooms. Although they have some to borrow, if needed daily, bring your own hairdryer. Our room didn’t have a coffee maker but they did offer it in the lobby. And although we stayed for convenience and knew it would be busy due to Oktoberfest, they didn’t secure parking for hotel guests. They said they have parking behind the ice cream shop and gave us a parking pass but they didn’t monitor the lot so no guaranteed parking. We’ll stay down the road and ride in next time. Bring ear plugs to sleep through the road noise.

It was nice that coffee was right there on the same property! We stayed over 4th of July and it was super busy, but Camp Richardson was close to everything wanted to do. We rented kayaks and took a boat ride to tour the Vikingsholm castle right from the marina.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! The hot tub was very relaxing and we were steps from the beach. The staff was very helpful and upgraded our room. The room was a bit hot from no AC, but the staff gave us a fan to use. The resort is very rustic and cozy!

Rustic summer camp-style rooms. The campgrounds are great and so is the location. You are steps from the beach, next to a quaint coffee shop, general store, and ice cream shop. Beds were very comfortable. But the major negative is there is no AC and they only have very weak fans. We were in an oven each night. So recommended for non-summer months!

My experience here was really well. The staff there were great and greeted me and my wife happily, even though it was late. They made sure we had everything to get settled in. Parking was good and we like that we can just walk down to the shore from the hotel. It was a really great stay.

This is a low budget hotel - the rooms are tiny and I would not call the pillows and bedspreads clean - there is no air conditioning or tv - it is very rustic - do not stay here if you are looking for a resort - you would stay here because it is close to the beach. You would also stay here because you enjoy the Camp Richardson experience - the WiFi is great - I worked from a picnic table outside!

Being close to the beach was good except that it was terribly noisy, not only the kids but the music from the restaurant. That was horrible.. We'll never choose any of those rooms at that location again.

The hot tub was low on water and filthy. Hotel, store, restaurant and ice cream parlor staff were exceptional! Coffee shop were borderline rude which took away from the other great staff!
