Great stay

Great concept of checking in on phone and and getting codes to get in and out. Only thing I can say is that’s the bed was not that comfortable.

Was satisfied by the hotel, so clean and small good the room! I gave 4stars because the area unsafe and many homeless people in the area and the homeless asking many things to pedestrians and I saw they’re had buying a drug in the streets exactly in the front hotel.

Don't stay here

This hotel is in a very very sketchy part of town and there is no parking, so you have to walk down the streets, that have a lot of unsavory characters hanging around. They have a no refund policy for a reason, no one would stay there if they had a choice. Choose another Hotel

Overall great experience. Very clean room, comfy bed. Nice property, well kept. The only drawback no onsite parking provided. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was spotless, cute decor. Comfy bed. We liked sitting in the courtyard by the pool having coffee in the morning. Nice landscaping. No parking on site, but with a little luck you figure out street parking.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sonder city center it was so close walking distance to whatever you wanted friendly staff clean comfortable room however don’t expect to have your room cleaned or trash collected unless you pay an additional fee for housekeeping Surprise but really cool place to stay

Cute vibe!

I absolutely loved the hotel. It was so cute and I loved the vibe. The only thing I didn’t like was the parking situation. They had parking in the front if you got lucky to snatch a spot but if not, you had to park in the parking structure that was about a 5 min walk down the road. Having the carry all your luggage and walking up the street to your hotel kind of sucked but other than that, it’s a perfect little hotel!
Sara, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

I didn’t like the lack of on-site parking, noisy traffic, room facing the street, no elevator and unknown noise coming from the bathroom
Lisa, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

This was my second time staying at the Sonder. The accommodation is pretty basic and we only stayed one night. I like the neighborhood because it's walking distance to a lot of dining options, including my favorite place, The Ordinarie. The Sonder is always clean, with a nice outdoor area. It's a great launchpad for all of our Long Beach adventures. I'd come back and recommend it to anyone.

Dinged one star for having only street parking with only 2 hours window time on the meters

We stayed for the rave at the queen mary! Easy 10 min walk from the shuttle to the festival! The staff was very nice and welcoming! The restaurant attached to it has such good bagels omg! Definitely gonna stay here again with the little one to take her to the aquarium ❤️ The only issue was so many homeless people outside the hotel. But we felt safe inside so no need to worry!

Simply fabulous!

Very secure building. Super clean. Retro modern. Staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The most comfortable beds ever. Parking garage 2.5 blocks away was inexpensive and very secure. Only a 3 minute walk. Lots of great dining nearby. I’ll definitely return when in LB.

Excellent location, charming retro vibe in LBC

Excellent location and charming retro vibe. Rooms are on the small side but adequate for solo and couples. Very walkable to multiple locations, like the Promenade, 4th Street, the beach, and the Transit Mall. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The bagels and bar at Olive & Rose are excellent. Minor glitch: The code provided for my room would not work. A staff member had to give me a backup code to use for my stay. The keypad on the outside of the building was not backlit and hard to use.
3-night trip

2/10 Poor

There is no parking provided at the facility. Lots of homeless around the area. You get a code to the room but it doesn’t work. I booked two nights but only stayed for one. Avoid this property unless you have no choice.
Lee, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

The hoops you need to jump through at the beginning before being provided your code due to the “contactless stay” is super annoying. Upon our arrival, I was having issues with the app and had to keep finding my reservation number and re-logging in. There was a pleasant young woman at the desk who helped us. It also isn’t clear in the app that you can request an earlier check in time (4pm is pretty late IMO) so we stowed our belongings in a locker until 4pm. If no lockers had been available, I’m not sure what we would have done. The hotel set up and room itself was comfortable and the location is super walkable. Some of the front desk people weren’t very friendly at all and would barely look at you. The keypad on the outside of the building is very hard to see at night, and though someone at the desk could have just pushed the button to let us in, they didn’t on several occasions. We tried to eat at the restaurant on site but didn’t have reservations, so had a few things off the limited menu in the courtyard with lackluster service. We requested a later noon check out which was nice, but then they accidentally checked us out at 11 so had to let us back in to our room. We stayed 3 nights and for what I spent I’d expect way better customer service & would just prefer a regular check in process + interaction with people at the desk. Feels more like a wannabe Airbnb than a $300+/night hotel brand honestly. Not sure I’d stay again unless I didn’t have other options.
Stacey, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

I stayed here while in town for a music festival. The room was cute, and very clean. A mini fridge would have been cool but I have no complaints about the room. Book a spot at a parking garage nearby in advance on Spot Hero. This saved me a lot of trouble. It was a quick walk for me. My only qualm with this place was the customer service. I checked in around 4, the gentleman working the desk was not rude but also not very warm. He was also on what seemed like a meeting I could hear while I was checking in. Thought that was a bit unprofessional. I asked him which staircase was closest to my room (for obvious reasons! I have luggage)..and he responded with a tone like I was kind of an idiot for asking. “There’s stairs in each corner” okay great, I know that. that wasn’t what I asked. Another woman in the lobby thankfully told me which staircase. I was in a hurry but wanted to grab a drink from the bar to take to my room while I got changed. I had my stuff still in my arms but it was literally just a large tote bag. The woman server in the restaurant looked at me like I didn’t belong there and approached me. I kindly asked if I was able to take a drink to the room from the bar, she looked somewhat appalled I asked this??? And once again looked me up and down with judgement in her face and told me in a very flat zero percent friendly way that I could but it would have to be in a plastic cup. Okay? That’s what I expected.. The bartender wasn’t really friendly at all either.

WOW! Incredible place to stay. I highly recommend this place for those who enjoy a quiet, well kept and modern/upscale 50s vibe. Everything about this place is 5 star including the rooms, pool area, but the staff are by far the best part of this Kasa location. Easy to take metro from L.A. airports, and many great ammenities in the area. About 10 minute walk from beach area, and within 5 minute walk from pretty much anythjng you’d need. Super safe and secure I will be back again to L.A, and will without a doubt be booking here.
