First of all, my check in into the hotel was a nightmare experience. I had booked through hotels.com but the property couldn't access or find my registration. It took almost an hour for them to find my reservation and check me in.
Then, they gave me a room which was given out to some other guest and resulted in an awkward and embarrassing situation for us as well as people who were already in the room.
Then they moved us again to a different room but it was not the kind that I had paid for. After yet another change of rooms, we were finally given a room comparable to the one we had reserved.
The only good thing was the rooms were clean and even though it was in a seaside town, the rooms were surprisingly not smelly. Almost every hotel that I've stayed in the area has a weird ocean/ sea life smell, but this hotel smelled clean and crisp. Very tiny rooms that are okay for a night of crashing in but not great for any sort of experience. Breakfast is no frills simple set up but it doesn't start at 7:00 as promised. Had to wait almost an hour to even get some coffee.
Overall, I am very confused as to the experience we had. The rooms were clean even though they were small. But the service not great. I understand this is a very budget. No frills hotel, but even there you expect a very minimal level of acceptable service and this was missing here. This compounded with my harrowing experience at check-in Will make me think twice about booking here or booking at these places thr
