The location of this hotel was perfect for us. It was close to our family that live in Pinehurst and the proximity to the light rail made it very easy to get downtown and to the airport. The room itself was spacious and seemed to be well-appointed. Comfortable bed and soft towels were provided. However, when we arrived, it looked like the bathroom floor was not cleaned (although this may be a reflection of the style of tiles used on the floor) Bar soap was not provided near the sink and we had to ask at the front desk for this. We also ran out of toilet paper and tissues because extras were not left in our room. The room was supposed to be tidied up every 2 days but this was not done on our second day. When we complained about this, our room was then serviced 2 days in a row.
The breakfast provided consisted of several types of cereal, oatmeal, bagels, English muffins, and the hot selections were primarily scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, quiche muffins and a rotating variety of egg and cheese muffins or waffles. Waffles were very popular and the kitchen could not keep up with the demand. It would have been nice to have an occasional donut or pastry of some kind.
Overall, we liked the hotel and the staff and will probably stay here again.
