Staff was extremely friendly and pointed out which routes to the attractions were the easiest, which were under maintenance, and how to get to places by bus or by foot. Front desk also kindly helped me search for a lost item, scouring even the bus from Taichung in the process. Bus from Taichung was easy to book, comfortable, and clean. Buffet was delicious. One thing to mention: If you want to eat anywhere but the buffet or the lobby, make sure to book in advance!

This is my third stay at this hotel, excellent as always. There are many so-called 5 star hotels, but this hotel truly deserves its 5 stars. The spa facility and children play areas are first-rate, and I have not seen another hotel more fun for the kids. The view is spectacular as always. The dinner buffet is first-class. The service is also great. The combination of the hot spring and the magnificent mountain-and-lake view in one building is world-class. As a native of Taiwan of five decades, I really think this is the best hotel experience in Taiwan.

The food, particularly the breakfast, is fantastic if you enjoy traditional Taiwanese cuisine. If you have your own car, getting around from the hotel is quite convenient. However, finding a taxi can be challenging; we were fortunate to get one to and from the hotel. Be prepared for a potentially long wait if you plan to rely on taxis.
