Casa Faravetto was a well located, clean, and efficient place to stay while in Venice. Casa Farevetto got cleaned on a daily basis, so it was always tidy and neat. They have a fridge in case you want to store food during your stay. I was initially worried that the shared bathrooms would be an issue, but it was not. There are few rooms and 2.5 bathrooms, so there was always something available. I rarely ran into the other travelers, and overall everyone there was respectful and quiet.
The only note I have, which is unrelated to the conditions the hotel is kept in, is that if you are staying in a room with the "sea view" you are overlooking the canal and the river, so in the early mornings it can be noisy if you keep the windows open. If you are noise sensitive bring earplugs or consider one of the rooms without the view. The noise was a small price to pay for an amazing view and to be in such a convenient location to the city and trasportation options
