Subject: Request for Full Refund - Unacceptable Hygiene Conditions
I am writing to file a formal complaint and request a full refund for the stay corresponding to the booking referenced above, made for the night of wed, nov 26 - mon dec 01 | 2025
The conditions of the accommodation were not only far below the advertised images of order and cleanliness, but they were also unacceptable and unsafe from a basic hygiene standpoint.
Below are the specific issues found in the assigned room:
Persistent Odor: The room had a strong, combined odor of dampness (mildew) and stale air/oldness.
Critical Hygiene Issue: Upon turning down the bed linens for use, we found clear evidence of dirt inside one of the beds.
Due to these unsanitary conditions and a well-founded fear of acquiring health problems (such as fungus or infections), we made the decision not to use the room or stay overnight at the hotel.
We consider that the essential service (a clean and safe room for resting) was not provided due to a severe breach of minimum habitability and hygiene standards. Consequently, we feel defrauded, having paid for a service we could not use for reasons of safety and hygiene.
