Although the suite itself was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable, unfortunately our stay was overshadowed by several issues.
The lights in the room didn’t work properly, which was frustrating from the start. The door to the suite constantly rattled whenever the downstairs door opened and shut, and because of the lack of soundproofing you could hear every conversation from below.
Noise was the biggest problem. There is no double glazing, so we could hear everything happening outside the property, including people shouting late into the night. There was also karaoke in the pub nearby which went on late, something we had no prior knowledge of. As a result, it was very difficult to relax or sleep.
It’s a shame because the suite itself is attractive and the bed is comfortable, but none of that matters if you can’t actually sleep. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet or romantic night away.
