Bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a good shower and gel was provided. The room was a little dusty and the carpets marked and a cupboard door and drawer didn’t open. However, bottles of water and milk pods were replenished daily and biscuits were often left so you felt welcome. The staff were very helpful in my experience. Breakfast was excellent with varied cereals, seeds, nuts, fresh fruit and yoghurt plus cooked breakfast if required.

The staff were so helpful. The hotel was stunning. The bed was so comfortable and the food delicious. We had a great time in the bar listening to live music and the hotel is situated just far enough from the town that there was no noise to be heard. Will definitely be going back. I would highly recommend this hotel

Mary at reception was very friendly and sorted out a small problem we had (nothing to do with the hotel )We will stay here again when we come back as it is very well situated being in the centre of town.

Great location and views with plenty of parking. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and nothing was to much. Rooms comfortable with hairdryer, fan ,coffee/tea making facilities and water supplied. Quality of the food and drink along with the service was excellent and a lovely menu range for evening and breakfast.

We stayed 4 nights 2 breakfast sittings were shambolic . Continental breakfast was bare , hadn’t been replenished! Very messy ! Dirty table cloths ! Toaster wasn’t toasting bread , only giving slight colour ! Condiment had to be requested and in short supply ! Same requested items on evening menu not available on consecutive evenings ! They had a water leak and staff were using white table cloths and white towels to mop up water using their feet !!

A very spacious, quiet and welcoming hotel in an excellent location. An unfortunate leak in the plumbing above our room was speedily resolved and all the staff could not have been more anticipatory and willing to assist with all aspects of the stay. We were well served. Thank you.

The room was not very clean e.g. cobwebs near the toilet, the toilet seat didn't fit properly and was fitted at an angle. The shower was poor and not very powerful. On arrival at 8.00 p.m after travelling some distance we found that the hotel could not/would not provide even light refreshments, last orders for food was 7.45 pm. Breakfast the next morning was chaotic, it was busy but only one member of staff was on duty. Our cooked breakfast arrived eventually and was cold. Breakfast did improve slightly for the remainder of our stay. The quality of food served for dinner on our second night was very good but we made sure our order was in by 6.00 pm. There was a contamination issue with the water in Youghal and bottled water had to be used, the hotel had very little bottled water and ran out, we had to buy our own water. There was no ice for drinks at the bar, it was the only establishment that we visited that did not buy ice for customers . The quality of the draught beers were not of a high standard. The parking was excellent as is the location. The staff were very good but there were very few of them. The hotel standard is a two/three star, certainly not a four star establishment. It's a shame as the hotel could be so much better.

Booked a super double room with a queen bed, when we checked in we were told they only had 1 room left which had 2 twin beds. The room was SO hot when we walked in we had to leave the room for several hours with 2 fans running to even make it tolerable. The manager was so nice & apologetic, he was the only reason we stayed for the night. The water pressure was basically a dribble, would never stay here again.

Beautiful hotel and very nice food and room Katie in reception & Brian in restaurant were really nice. Definitely be staying again.
