Appreciated the kindness and pride the front desk guy took in sharing about the special natural features in the area. Place was clean and perfect being very affordable for what we needed as a quick stay on our road trip. I brought ear plugs for the train noise after reading other reviews, so no problem there.

The guy at the reception was friendly and very helpful in providing information on restaurants and nearby attractions. We were on our way back to Texas and it is a perfect no frill pit stop. The building itself is old but the room is very clean. The motel is located near the train track so if you are a light sleeper this place might not be for you. The rooms has been refreshed but kept its old world charm of a classic Route 66 motel. I literally stopped for a 6 hour nap so it was great for my use. Bed and towels were very nice & there brand new doors, locks & heater. It’s certainly not a “high end” resort but it was a fantastic value compared to the “free breakfast” places near by. The battery was dead on the ring camera by the office so it took a few minutes to get the desks attention but they were super apologetic and made the rest to check in great.

No frills, but a good place to lay down for a few hours. Fridge and microwave. There is no coffee maker. If you are a coffee drinker, make plans around that. It is dog friendly. My large pitbull was able to use a field behind and to the side. Price is right.

I was only supposed to stay at this location for 2 nights with my dog and cat. I ended up extending for a night -- twice. David is so nice and welcoming, and it was a really pleasant stay. Check-in was fast and easy. The room was very clean, the hot water and pressure was great, and it was easy to bring all of my luggage inside and take it back out, since I parked right outside the room on the first floor. The price was great for such a pleasant and worry-free stay. There's a Walmart Supercenter, Autozone, and O'Reilly, just 5 minutes away, as well as a good laundromat (Capri Laundromat) that has free dryer use from Monday through Friday (you have to wash your clothes there first, of course). I would definitely stay there again!

Nice clean, comfortable room. Looks to be recently refurbished. Nothing fancy at all, so don't come looking for frills. But a very good stay, especially for the price. The owner, I believe his name is David, was very helpful and accommodating. The only caveat I would give is that outlets were very scarce in my room. I was fine, but if you have multiple electronic devices that would need simultaneous charging, perhaps bring a three outlet adapter.
