El sitio es estupendo, bonito, cuidado, a unos 25/30 minutos andando de la Royal Mile y la propietaria un encanto. Todos los días te ofrecen un desayuno sencillo en tu habitacion, pero que te hace el apaño sin problema. Muy recomendable.

Everything was superb … apart from one small thing. One morning, I needed to work a couple of hours in my room before setting out for the day but the housekeeping staff were so noisy it was virtually impossible. Other than that, I’d recommend this establishment unreservedly.

Lovely location and beautiful newly decorated and furnished rooms. Very comfy bed! I travel away a lot and this is one of the nicest places I have stayed. So nice I booked a second week. Would highly recommend!

The property was always neat and clean. The property staff paid attention to details and provided lots of helpful information about transportation, food options, and laundry services. Louise was very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, and even let us keep our baggage at the property after checking out as our flight was later in the evening. The suite at the top floor had nice views. Thanks for having us!

A convenient and comfortable place to stay

The hosts were very helpful regarding helping us plan our stay there, suggesting activities, bus routes, and nearby restaurants. We did not have an ensuite, but there was never a wait for the w/c, and we were very comfortable. It was a lovely, convenient place to stay. We appreciated having the car parking in the back. Thanks again for a great stay!

Perfect two-day stay in Edinburgh

Visited Edinburgh with my daughter for an open day at the University. Location was ideal between the two campuses as well as close by to Arthur’s Seat, old town etc.

Place was clean, conveniently close to the Royal Mile to walking distance, lot of buses and transportation is available to major interest places. The house is beautiful and convenient parking in the rear. You get a code for the front doors and the room key is inside. They have fruit and maps available. The staff is amicable and helpful. Highly recommended.

One night stay

I had a great stay at Grangeview, the room was exceptional and felt like it had recently been decorated. It was a great size and felt stylish and cosy. I was pleasantly surprised to find a dressing gown and slippers in the room which was a lovely extra touch on top of all the usual things. The guest house is in a more residential area which felt very relaxing but was only a short walk away from the royal mile. It’s also a great base for exploring Holyrood park. I’ll most definitely stay again when I’m next visiting Edinburgh.

Very clean, very nice and helpful staff. Quick check in, no issues. However room a bit small for the price. And very hot even with window open... It will not be good for hot summer days which are not very often in Scotland anyway. Overall very good experience.

The property was very beautiful and this was a great home base for our week in Edinburgh. It was a bit away from the city center so we did end up taking buses and taxis more than expected. Traffic in front of the house gets quite busy around lunchtime and supper. While housekeeping provided a steady supply of tea packets and granola bars, we did have to venture out for food. I didn’t appreciate the cafe the guest house recommends but thankfully there were a lot of other options within walking distance. Guest house is beautiful and staff provided a very handy guestbook to ensure all questions are answered.

Happy in Edinburgh

A lovely old building in a quiet neighborhood.The Edinburgh Marathon was the same weekend we were trying to get accommodations and the only room in this affordable lodging that was available was one with shared toilet and shower. We had a sink in our room though so that was great! The host was on site and actually insisted on carrying one of our bags up and down the two flights of stairs. The bananas and oranges at the front desk were very welcome! We expected to shared the toilet and shower but we had them to ourselves as it turned out.

Stayed here at the beginning and at the end of our trip. The place was okay but outdated. Also the building affected my partner's sinuses. Not sure why, his health usually is not sensitive like that. We didn't realize this until we stayed there a second time. The bathrooms attached to the rooms are useable but the shower and sink are very small. Also if someone flushes the toliet while another person showers, the water will run cold for a bit. We had stayed in two different rooms and had hot water issues with two separate bathrooms. The second/last time the water would go from boiling hot to ice cold continuously. No one was using the other bathroom at the time so must be something wrong with the shower itself. They do provide coffee and oatmeal in the room which was nice. There is also free parking in the back in case you have a car.

El alojamiento se caracteriza por ser TRANQUILO y muy ORIGINAL Es muy recomendable. En caso de que regresáremos, allí VOLVERÍAMOS ENCANTADOS. El dueño o encargado fue receptivo, nos ayudó en todo cuanto pudo- FELICITACIONES y que se conserven así. INSUPERABLES!!

Et kjempefint sted å bo – rent, koselig og med en utrolig komfortabel seng. Man føler seg virkelig som hjemme her. Området er veldig rolig og hyggelig, samtidig som det ikke er langt fra gamlebyen. Det er en fin og koselig spasertur inn til byen, med mange hyggelige kafeer underveis. Vi trivdes veldig godt og følte oss virkelig

The private parking was a bonus - Andy and Kim were excellent at keeping in touch before we arrived so our check in was great. Lovekly place - obviousky were cared and loved by the hosts. Great location, lots of lovely places to eat - we dined at The Apiary and The Old Bell - both were great - the Apiary was nice dining with a great vegetarian selection, the Old Bell is a great pub with excellent pub food.

Our hostess Kim did a very good orientation to navigating and enjoying Edinburgh. This is a lovely old home that has been well kept up. We were surprised by the daily room clean service. We did not stay in an en suite room but rather share the bathroom with other guests. This was not a problem at all and indeed during our stay in the guest house was quiet. The location is not in the bustle of the main drag and we liked that, But if you want to be in the more keyed up area with night life around you, you might want to be closer to the center..As middle-aged healthy types we walked to the Royal Mile and attractions and made our pedometers very happy. There is plenty of good public transportation at hand, however. There are a surprising number of good restaurants a few blocks away. We enjoyed the Abbey, the Southpour, and my favorite was the Apiary. They were Indian, Moroccan, and Italian restaurants that look pretty good as well but we just didn’t get there. Enjoy!
