Really enjoyed our stay at the crown. All staff were so lovely and helpful. We only booked to stay here to be local to reading festival but almost didn’t go to the festival because we wanted to relax here instead!

Venue is a beautiful country pub, excellent location for a family wedding. A real rustic feel with lots of little areas. Food in the restaurant very nice. Rooms very clean and good towels. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Only down side, rooms incredibly hot so would benefit from air con.

Nice room with a couple of minor maintenance issues (cracked shower shelf and loose toilet seat. Unfortunately, stayed on the hottest day of the year so far - would have loved AC. Staff very friendly and food (Breakfast and dinner) excellent.
