My stay at this hotel on 5 December 2025 was nothing short of a disaster. I checked in around 17:30, and from the moment I arrived, it was clear that this place has no concept of efficiency, professionalism, or basic hospitality.
Check-in was unbelievably slow. The staff moved at a glacial pace, and there was zero sense of urgency or competence. After finally getting my room card, I went to the fourth floor, only to discover that my room was wide open and in the middle of active maintenance.
The scene inside was appalling:
• Curtain rails dumped on the floor
• Bedding and sheets completely removed
• The room in absolute chaos
• And a rude, unprofessional maintenance worker who shrugged and said, “They didn’t tell you I’m doing maintenance?”
This level of disorganisation is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that charges deposits and pretends to offer a decent guest experience.
Because the lift was painfully slow, I had to drag my luggage down four flights of stairs back to reception. I had somewhere important to be, and this hotel single-handedly threw off my schedule with its incompetence.
Reception offered an apology, but it was empty, uninterested, and completely lacking sincerity. They acted like this was a minor inconvenience instead of a complete failure on their part.
To make matters worse, I still haven’t received my R300 deposit back, which I urgently need. At this point, I’m genuinely questioning whether this is incompetence or negligence.
