While Hôtel Le Paris Singulier is charming, our stay was marred by significant issues. The staff, mostly in their 20s, were consistently unfriendly and unhelpful, offering no hospitality.
At check-in. We were given a room on the 3rd floor & there was no elevator. We had to carry all of our luggage up 3 flights of stairs ourselves, with no offer of assistance from the staff.
The most significant issue was no WiFi on our floor. When we sought help, the front desk attendant was unable to help and begrudgingly connected me with a person who said that no one else had ever complained & nothing could be done until Monday. This left us without the advertised WiFi for our entire trip.
Furthermore, the bathroom design was completely impractical, offering zero privacy with no door and no shower curtain. This setup is not suitable for families w/ kids over the age of 10 or even friends traveling together. To top it off, there was visible mold in the shower.
While at the hotel, I looked at recent reviews and saw that several of these issues were brought up by guests 1 to 2 weeks prior to our visit. The hotel responded to those reviews indicating they would address the feedback with their team. It's clear no action was taken, as the same problems persist. They say they appreciate the feedback and are sorry, but clearly no changes have been made.
We cannot recommend this hotel. If you are a 1st time visitor to Paris or someone who values helpful, friendly service, you should stay elsewhere.
