The Marc did not come across as a full hotel. When we checked in, there was no employee at the desk and we were instead directed to the lobby of the Hilton. I was then directed to another terminal because only one of the computers was set up to handle The Marc. I was not given the room I reserved (2 queens), and in order to change the reservation, an employee had to go all the way back to The Marc’s desk. There was nothing but friction during the check in process.
I slept one night and I woke up with my back INCREDIBLY sore. I went to use the shower and the temperature quickly spiked from slightly warm to scalding hot. I was also surprised that “Milwaukee’s newest hotel” has pant chipping on the bathroom door.
I was incredibly disappointed that I did not stay in the room that I ordered (2 queens) and was instead given a strictly worse room (2 twins). I, so far, have not been issued any kind of compensation or refund meaning that I have overpaid for a worse room. The hotel only features the worst aspects of being a separate-but-not-really-separate hotel from The Hilton and there was no indication of this whatsoever when booking the reservation
