A hidden gem! This 5-room property converted from a storefront business offers beautiful and luxurious accommodations that this small community could not sustain at scale. Not by design, we have found ourselves traveling much of that route between Springfield MO and Albuquerque, NM this year. Most of the towns along the route have seen better days. Many are dilapidated and a pity to see what once existed. Elk City, OK is a thriving, clean, small town worthy of a night’s stopover, and the Bluebird is the place to stay.
