So when you are traveling one of the worst effects is fatigue. I arrived fatigued and handed my ID to the front desk clerk.
My ID was my passport inside a leather case. They didn’t hand it back, somehow I was so fatigued I didn’t notice.
No, not only does my reservation have my phone number, but I’m easily searchable anywhere on the Internet. My business is public.
Not only the front desk attendant, not even bother to call my Room or they just checked me into, They either knocked on the door, or called the Hotel phone in my room to notify me, they did nothing to hand me back my US passport.
Had to catch a flight early. I woke up at 3:30 in the morning, got all the way to the TSA, and had to miss my flight.
So then, of course I’m freaking out, had to catch an Uber back to the parking then drove back to the hotel. When I talked to the attendant at the front desk, they looked at me like the deer in headlights, then all of a sudden they instantly remembered when pressed, that they were keeping the guest passpor.t They then performatively acted so apologetic as if they didn’t know.
My advice, don’t stay there. If this is going on, I’ll just come courtesy things and imagine what else they are doing inside the rooms when they clean.
