We had an issue with our toilet leaking whenever we flushed but the front desk was very quick in getting us another room without hesitation. They are very friendly and are very accommodating. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Would definitely stay again!

Way nicer than a motel 6. You can tell it was freshly renovated. Still a couple of hairs from housekeeping on the sheets, but overall a very safe feeling place to stay. Plenty of close parking. The front desk staff is amazing too, especially the Indian guy- he is great!

I was in the area for a show at The Observatory. Glad I chose Harbor Bay Inn. Beautiful remodel. Very comfy, cozy and clean. I was looking for a no nonsense spot with free parking and no “destination” or “resort fees” ….if you’re wondering about some of the reviews, it looks like most of the negative reviews were from before it was remodeled and different owners. This is a safe area off of Harbor Blvd… close to Norms Diner and if you’re a coffee fanatic like me, I really enjoyed Original Barista close by. I would definitely recommend if looking for a no frills economical spot!

We planned a quick beach trip and came across this place to literally just sleep! The rooms were brand new and very cozy! Very reasonably priced! Our only issue was the charging plugs by the beds did not work! We will come back to stay here over and over on our trips to Newport!

The body wash and shampoo were empty so we had to use your small bar soap. Also the lights under the beds kept going on and off all night. When they did go on they lit up the whole room. Took my wife till 4 in the morning to get to sleep!( We went to bed around 10:30pm) The room was clean , the beds were comfortable,and the AC worked .Rm 109 Mr Savage. 9/10-11/2026

The room was nice and quiet. They need coffee makers but other than that it was great. They need bed was a little soft for my comfort. But I slept in to mid morning! So I must have been ok!! Will definitely stay there again

The highlight of this property is that the rooms have been recently remodeled and are delightful. Don’t let the exterior of the property concern you. Once inside the room, I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. However, the parking lot needs repaving, the sign at the street level still looks like it’s from the 1960s and the front office is not remodeled yet. Perhaps those upgrades are coming but the rooms were the priority and they did a great job. It was a pleasure to find a budget hotel with a really beautiful bathroom.

The hotel looks a little older from the outside but normal for the area as most buildings around are the same. That’s the only comment I would have for improvement. The staff at check in ( Nick ) was fantastic! Very polite and quick with getting our room. The room itself was great! All new and update. Even had little motion sensor light under the bed so you don’t have to walk to the bathroom in the dark in the middle of the night! Very clean and smelled new. Very satisfied with our stay!
