This is a really, really old building, so it is hard to rate it. They probably cant move rooms around and remodel a building this old.
It is however, typical of old UK hotels, they all feel a bit tired and a bit lacking somehow... maybe that is the "charm".
My room was small, and maybe a little basic. The bathroom had a cool roll top bath, but no shower, not even a shower attachment, to wash my hair, a small plastic saucepan was provided... Felt a bit 1920's..
Parking is a joke, no more that 3 spaces that are accessed through the narrowest gate imaginable. Not sure where I would have parked, Tesco nearby?
Breakfast was good, cooked to order.
Despite my harsh critique, it was decent value for money and if I needed to be in town, I would probably use it again.
