Really friendly and helpful staff. The location is gorgeous and the room is a nice size. Some of the amenities were unavailable because they are between owners right now, but it was still a lovely time.

Nice, quiet, clean, and spacious room. Amiable and helpful staff. Great view of the ocean from our room. No elevator, so if you’re not able to climb stairs ask for a lower level room. Great experience for us overall.

Very nice & clean room. Love the staff, super nice & very helpful. They let you drop off your luggage if you arrive too early & also they will hold your luggage in case you take a later ferry after check out & its in a locked room..

Room was clean. Shower was excellent and the water was soft. Great for a place just to lay your head if you plan to spend a lot of time outside the room. There is a small to medium hill incline to deal with each day and there is no elevator if you are on the upper floors.

location was perfect, check in was a little a bit challenging, only had one person at front desk wait times were not ideal for a smooth check in. enjoyed the free drinks on site. staff extremely friendly.

Please is old but bed room were clean don’t get a room right on the street or you’ll hear golf carts and traffic 24/7 place is probably to most affordable hotel in Avalon. There are maybe 2 more but they are poor and very disappointing

The hotel was great. The staff was nice and friendly and very out well, though. The hotel was going through some Wi-Fi renovations. Wife, I was limited if that at best, but everything else was great again. The staff was helpful. Front desk lady was excellent and very helpful. Kind, I would definitely come back. Thank you so much for your help and support and keeping me comfortable

My Wife and I enjoyed our 2 night stay. The Hotel is under new ownership recently. I spoke to the new owner prior to arrival and had a discussions on recent and future improvements. The room was spacious and very clean. Had a balcony and view of ocean. Was nice to have coffee on balcony in morning and watch the town start to get busy, lots of golf carts. We stayed in room 202. Catalina is built on hillside, very steep in areas. Hotel is easy walking distance from the boat docks and gradual incline to get there, not to steep. My wife and I both agree we would stay here again!!

The two staff members interacted with were friendly and welcoming. Overall, the room was clean, but there were cobwebs behind the front door. Volume on the remote for the TV didn’t work. There was no ice scoop in the ice machine, so hopefully everyone is washing their hands. The layout of the room also caused you to blind anyone sleeping if you are to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The light on the bathroom is a motion sensor, and there’s a large sliding mirror opposite the bathroom, which does a good job of reflecting the light right onto the bed. I appreciated the ability to leave our bags until our later ferry, as well.

The service is poor.Only one staff is working on the reception and housekeeping.I booked 2 rooms and when we checked in,only 1 room is ready and it took us almost 2hours to wait for the other room to be ready.

The room was ok… They are under new management so there was no cable TV in the room. I gas ordered a room with a king sized bed and balcony but received a room with a queen sized bed. We weren’t in the room a lot but it would have been nice to have known these things prior to checking in.

This place is OK at best. Floors are dirty, staff still need some training, could not check in till after 5:30, TV was unplugged and we found out it was because there is no TV service, A/C was cold, bed was decent, towels need replaced, bathroom mirror had a huge crack on it and was covered up with tape. It was busy island Weeknd so we took what we could get. But would not come back based on the current condition

Uphill walk to the hotel followed by NO ELEVATOR. "No elevator" was not disclosed. Person in party had arthritis knees and desk clerk was cheerfully unsympathetic. No warning about salt water toilets turning your pee dark. Dark stains on the foot of the mattress. Sheets may not have been washed. Common luggage storage closet was a chaotic melee after check-out + had to move someone's underwear off my luggage.

This hotel looks nothing like the pictures online. The bricks are cracked, it is very run down. The location was ok. The “patio” had a great view but it also had old chairs and old tables, next to broken furniture and something covered with an ugly tarp. Website mentioned there was wifi but that was not true. There also was no cable. When we called the manager he said hopefully we get it soon. On a positive, tge bed was comfortable, the shower head was great and the bath towels were soft. If you van find another hotel, find it. This one needs to renovate before it allows guests.

It was the most awful experience I have ever had checking into a hotel. Showed up to learn hotel overbooked and had no plan for accommodating my famiky. Several other families were in the same situation. Had to wait hours and keep reminding manager about him needed to take care of the issue. We were sent to another hotel and they had no record of us needing to be transferred to their hotel. It was an utter disaster. They were not equipped.
