My son and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend break. The facilities were good, and the property was only a short walk from the beach and local amenities. My son loved the breakfast, and our room was clean and tidy.

a lovely hotel but the rooms are dated and the corridor needs a very good paint job but the overall the entertainment area was clean and good acts and we will be returning

Lovely British riviera character hotel. The spa and pool is maintained beautifully. Parts of the hotel could do with new decor but was clean throughout. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast choices were good.

Some staff helpful but others not, rooms and hotel dated but amenities very good, well situated for getting out and about.

From arrival to departure, the hotel itself, staff, entertainment etc was all great. Everything was explained, or displayed for info etc. Great choice of food, and staff had knowledge of specific food/dietary requirements if needed.. Would thoroughly recommend to family and friends as a relaxing, enjoyable place to either stay ,or use as a base to explore the local area.

A great experience, lovely helpful staff, lots of activities and amenities with a short walk to the front. Sadly, too short on avaliable lifts considering the hotel size and horrible sticky tables in the restaurant.

The resort was beautiful but the Derwent Hotel itself badly needs updating to bring it to the standard of the other 3 hotels. That being said the price paid did reflect this and overall we had an enjoyable visit. The reception staff also need a lesson in customers service a friendly approach works much better.

Great pools including 1 outdoors. Shame the sauna was out if service for our stay. Games room is great, with 4 bowling lanes. Our room was plenty big enough, basic. Striped carpet was a bit mental! Breakfast was good. I would visit again.

Derwent was very dated and in need of some money spent on the place. Our room was a twin room. The floor was not level at all, anywhere. The top half of the windows was so difficult to close. Overlooking the road. I had to stand on the window sill and use all my strength to close it. We stayed for 2 nights and was good for the value.

Loads of stuff to do within the hotel, friendly staff, however the building needs air con, the rooms were small and the breakfast was poor, overall good for families on a budget.

Room was tired and very hot. No sockets beside bed for cpap and only two in the whole room over the desk. Difficult to charge phones etc and run the fan provided. On the plus side all of the staff we interacted with were lovely and very helpful. Decent breakfast was included.
