Great experience from the moment I arrived. The gentlemen took my bags, opened the door for me. The receptionist was accommodating allowing me to checking early. Breakfast is great! Room is cozy! The bed is sooo comfortable! I would definitely stay here again.

Roots is a terrific apartment hotel. Your love the neighborhood which is vibrant, extremely urban and filled with action. Hotel itself has spacious rooms. Nicely appointed without extremely fancy detail. But efficient and just perfect for a stay in Accra. The location is walkable, but also an easy Uber anywhere including the Osu Night market and magical Makola Market. (western tourist. Will potentially feel overwhelmed by the velocity of these places, but they are well worth exploring and despite the extreme pace & vibrancy they are totally safe) it’s a great hotel. There’s also a nice restaurant both in the hotel and several options nearby.

I gave this hotel five stars because of the impeccable style, reasonable pricing, amazing stuff and nicely updated room. It’s great value for the money, but the neighborhood is also authentic. It’s extremely urban complete with countless restaurants, classic African shopping stalls of Ghanaian nature has a really fun street prostitution life at night. Don’t be afraid of it. It’s absolutely fascinating. Completely completely safe. What a great experience. The staff even went and Sub bargaining for me on the shopping site. I was traveling with a friend. We absolutely love this. Hotel in. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Really. You won’t regret it. It’s also close to car rentals and easy to pick up an Uber to get to any of the sites and the amazing massive markets in Accra.

Some of the staff were very helpful while others were extremely argumentative. My guests & I felt that there were many inconveniences including the elevator not working, requiring us to climb many flights of steps to our room, and varying water damage throughout our room itself.
