This is a castle built on the top of a hill in the 12th century, so the architecture is stunning. The building itself has been updated so all the comforts of modern life are present. On premise winery offers great tours and wine. The on premise included breakfast was excellent. Parking was free and easy. Fantastic place! We hope to return with a big group of friends soon.

The castel is beautiful. The view is really stunning. The restaurant is amazing. We stayed there for one night, in sunday. We had lunch at its restaurant and at night we had an amazing picnic that they provided to us. Really recommended!

Wow factor, soul food and exceptional memorys.

Our stay in Castello Vicciomaggio was a dream location and accommodation in the heart of Tuscany. It gives the sights, sounds and everything else you want from a winery/stay in Chianti. It was the most expensive place we stayed while in Tuscany, but gave us the most back in return. You're not just paying for a place to stay, you're getting the wow factor, soul food, and exceptional memorys.

Beautiful property overlooking the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside. Picturesque setting with gourmet restaurant and a pool. People who work there were very nice and accommodating. We arrived after the front desk closed, so someone stayed a little later to show us around. We had a 2 bedroom apartment, it was spacious and had all modern amenities. This is a working vineyard so we took a wine tour which included the wine cellars, wine tasting and lunch with an amazing view of the vineyards. Our stay exceeded our expectations. Very happy I chose this propery.

Beautiful hotel in stunning location. The pool was the real highlight, as was the living area with honesty bar where you could get snacks and drinks any time of day. It’s just a shame you can’t do the wine tasting up at the castle itself if you’re staying there (unless you book the lunch and wine tasting package) and have to go down by car to the front gate.

the Castello was amazing so peaceful and in touch with nature the staff A1 for us it was very conveniently located if we only knew of its magic we would have stayed a few days more for sure will make it up on our next trip those 2 nights spent at the V will and always be the highlight of our trip

We had the Boticelli room. The room was really Big but the end was very Small and very inconfortable. We hit ourselves on the frame of the bed many Times because the mattress was way to thin. The shower was very narrow and the hot water was unpredictable. One minute it was very hot and the next cold. When you pay 300$ for a room, you expect better. When we gave this feed-back at checkout, we were offered a bottle of their wine (value of 10 euros). You really pay for the fact that you are in a old castle (with people buried in the chapel by the way)

A truly special place!

My partner and I stayed at Castello Vicchiomaggio for a couple of nights during a 2-week trip through Italy. It was everything we dreamed of and more! The vibe and ambiance at the castello was great, and the views are simply incredible. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with a lovely view across the vineyard. The food was amongst the very best we had across our whole time in Italy. The lunch menu was particularly excellent value for money and tasted amazing. We went on Castello Vicchiomaggio's wine tour, and this was a highly recommendable experience. The wine produced on this Chianti estate is amazing, and to learn about the wine and the estate was so interesting. My partner and I got engaged at this stunning place, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Delfina made this most magical moment possible, and I can't emphasise enough how helpful and hospitable she was both ahead of and during our stay. All of the staff were so friendly and profession, and this only added to our amazing stay. We will certainly be back in the future, and this place will forever hold a special place in our heart.

Ok men mangler lidt og for dyrt

Meget støj fra værelset over os (løbende børn) Gulvet var meget varmt under sengen så dev var som at sove i en savna og sengen var driv våd når vi vågnede. Hyggeligt sted men manglede mulighed for lidt servicering ved poolen.

A highlight during an already excellent vacation!! The service and amenities were top notch. Breakfast was delicious, wine tasting impeccable, and dinner scrumptious. The infinity pool was quiet and so relaxing to spend the day by!!! Could not recommend more highly. Easy to get to by car. Do yourself a favor and book!

A beautiful place! The castle and staff are fine. No air conditioning anywhere and it was super hot. This is not a good option for anyone with limited mobility. You have to carry your bags quite a distance across gravel to your room and then upstairs while dealing with keys and gates. Our room (michaelangelo) is needing an updo and smelled like mold upstairs. Infinity pool was wonderful and views are the best in Tuscany. We stayed for dinner, which was actually pretty good but again, no air conditioning and hot. Same with breakfast. Private tour is overpriced compared to others in area but guide was knowledgeable. Biggest complaints by far were the air conditioning and Internet. Ciao!
