What a wonderful little hotel. They upgraded my room, which was unexpected and very much appreciated. It was so welcoming and comfortable, with a tub and a balcony. The staff are lovely, the grounds are a little adventure with an apple orchard and little areas to sit in and enjoy. Close to everything so you can walk everywhere and take in this sweet little town.
I had dinner in my room (risotto, fabulous), and in the morning a bountiful breakfast that was beautifully presented and very tasty. It’s a great stop to break up the drive between Copenhagen and Stockholm. Cannot more highly recommend!
Note: If you need absolute quiet I would recommend requesting a room in one of the side buildings. My room was in the main building (which is from 1769) above the dining room, and in the morning there was unfortunately a very loud child that kind of hijacked the whole area, including climbing up the stairs to my room. Nothing the owners could do much about, unfortunately. Just something to be aware of if you need absolute silence in the morning. Or bring earplugs😊 They also asked me when I was brought to my room if I would like the hotel to not play any music downstairs in the morning, which I said was not a problem for me. I 10/10 would still stay in that room!
