Clean spacious room with good amenities and the individual designs are a great change from standard hotels where all rooms are the same. Staff were all great from check in and out, to breakfast and the mini tour on arrival was a nice touch ie being shown to room etc. We were also able to check in early which was a big help asxwe could go out for rest of day without breaking off to check in. Offer of fresh milk for drinks in the room is also a welcome gesture. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice for the cooked to order part. Parking is limited (we know this is common for York) but well managed and space maximised which is a bonus so near city centre. Would definitely stay again!

It was so charming, we extended our stay an extra night. It was so unique and interesting, had a lovely sitting room where we could read and sip a drink. The area is quiet but it was only about a 7 minute walk into the city center.

Not our 1st visit, but our 2nd and it was a truly wonderful stay. The rooms we had are stunning with four poster beds and gorgeous unique styles. The staff here are really lovely and a credit to Laura xx The breakfast is 5 stars and they use only the best produce. Something to really look forward to is meeting Teddy, the resident star- he's their lovely cat and is so friendly. This stunning Boutique hotel is situated in the centre of York, only a few hundred metres away from the wall and a ten minute walk to the shambles. If you are looking for a truly lovely stay, look no further xx oh and they scored 10s right across the board when featured on Four in a Bed in 2025 xx we will definitely return xx
