This was an OK stay, as it was a good location and did the job for me to sleep and store my things, but I will not be back again. The first room I was assigned to smelled very musty and my bed wasn’t cleaned with new sheets, so I had to go to the reception to get a new room assignment.
They don’t give you a top sheet for the bed, but the fitted sheet to cover the mattress had stuff on it — a small rubber piece, fuzz and hairs. They give just a thin blanket which I questioned its cleanliness since there were also hairs on it.
The bathroom stalls were tiny so hard to move around in, and there was no hand soap at the sink to wash your hands. The soap pump in the shower was broken so it was difficult to get soap out but I eventually got it after many attempts.
The lockers in the hostel room were broken so I had to leave my things in the lockers outside of the room.
There are no elevators so if you’re on the top floor like I was, it made it difficult to carry your bags up and down — especially since the receptionist doesn’t show you your room and help you bring your bags up like many other hostels do.
However, the location was good with the Central Market and Chinatown right in the area, and close walking distance to Merdeka Square.
