The staff at the hotel were so friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. Our room was spacious, spotless, and nicely updated. The bunk beds were a little squeaky, but thatās pretty common with metal bunks and didnāt bother us at all. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Long Beachāweāre already looking forward to coming back!
Overall good stay with family of 4 and two dogs. There were things under the furniture like hair and items of previous guests. The electrical panels in the units are recalled and need to be replaced.
I wish I could give this place a better rating because the staff was great. The room was good, but the furniture was very firm/hard to sit on, and the bed was way too soft. But the main reason for the low rating was because of the road noise at night & the food business across the street blaring their music from 8am to 8pm and later. If you stay in your room for any period of time during those hours, that's all you hear. You can't even hear the TV at a normal volume. Also, if want to relaxe after dinner in your room, forget about it. You won't be able to with the loud music playing.
The bed was way too firm, after a few hours with the fan on it was making such a loud noise it woke me up and I thought it was an airplane flying around outside. Had to shut the fan off. Coffee machine didn't work all that grate. Was not told there would be a charge for the dog. The place was clean.
The door locks are battery powered, and the batteries were almost dead. After being unable to unlock the door they delivered a manual key to use. The planks in the floor have 1/2 inch gaps in some areas. This could be a future nesting area for insects. It was hot out and the room had no AC but opening the windows helped to keep it cool. There is a microwave but no stove or countertop burners. Will stay somewhere else next time.
I am a huge hotel snob & an a creature of habit. Our regular hotel was booked for the days we wanted to come, so we tried their sister hotel (the Costal Inn) and it was PHENOMENAL! They even gave our dogs a welcome basket. The ONLY complaint I have is Hotels.com has it advertised as no fee for dogs. But if you read the fine print (which I didnāt) it says there is a fee, and hotels.com says itās $20, but they charge $30 per night, per dog . But other than that we will be staying there again!
