The hotel has historic resonance, and the heroic cleaning staff do a great job. Perhaps some of the nicer rooms have some character. But the front office staff is indifferent at best. The woman at the bar was almost hostile? This should be a treasure of the would-be UNESCO heritage site but is an embarrassment. Set up to accommodate group tours spending a brief night as they quickly traverse Senegal, it might just survive. But things could be much better. Beware the mediocre breakfast which is generally plundered by staff before 8am for which they charge CFA6000 and do not replenish.

Super séjour à l’hôtel de la poste de saint Louis

Très bon séjour à l’hôtel de la poste. Personnel accueillant sympathique et toujours à l’écoute. Très bon emplacement proche du centre à côté du syndicat d’initiatives ce qui permet d’aller facilement aux diverses excursions proposées. Distributeur de billets à côté de l’hôtel

Excellent comfortable and in a great location

This hotel is by far one of the most comfortable, clean and spacious hotels i have stayed in. Located in the heart of st louis island, the receptionist Aja was incredibly kind and frriendly, she helped me arrange transportation to my demdik back to dakar, thank you so much for an incredible stay. If you are visiting st louis i highly recommend this hotel Yasmin

This Hotel has definitely seen better days and is in need of renovation. The staff at the restaurant was deceitful. I asked if breakfast was included in my rate and they told me it was. The breakfast was terrible, but heck, it was free, or so I thought. Turned out it wasn't, so I ended up paying quite a bit for the worst breakfast I had in Senegal. There is a bakery behind the hotel that serves a really good breakfast. Go there instead. Would I stay here again? There are not many decent hotels in St. Louis, but I might check out some of the other places nearby. I would be shocked if they were actually worse...

Fabulous location. Room AC was great. Best shower I’ve had at a hotel in Senegal. Bed and pillows were comfy. Room was clean and had all necessities. Bar staff could use more customer service training

Pros: Great location. Theres parking right outside the hotel. Good staff. The common areas have a nice old world feel. Cons: The rooms and bathrooms could do with some updating. Not sound-proofed, so will need earplugs.

Good hotel

This is a nice hotel and the best option if you want access to a pool in SL. The pool was closed when we were there…I would have stayed at Siki (where I have been many times in the past) if I had known. All of the staff were kind of lovely. The hotel is tired but has a fascinating history and a nice interior courtyard. The location is convenient but also a target for dudes trying to sell you stuff.
