The hotel lobby was clean and bright, the desk people were friendly and proficient, the room had a distinct odor like dirty carpets, we only stayed one night so it met our needs at the time, probably wouldn't stay there again.

Much of the property is dated, not nice, would not stay here again. The pool is in the middle of the hotel, which makes it very noisy for people in rooms.

Room wasn’t swept so probably not mopped either, hallway carpets were really gross and the hall had an unpleasant odor. The staff wasn’t super friendly but were helpful when asked. The pool was really nice and the best part of the place. I’d stay again in a pinch but for 200 bucks a night and a bit of a drive to Des Moines proper, I’d expect a bit more effort with cleaning and amenities.

My stay was okay. I didn’t get housekeeping even after requesting it, my stay was a week. On the day of checkout the entire staff was rude, the manager yelled at my twice, once by my room and another in the lobby as I was trying to leave. Would not recommend

We dropped something behind the dresser and when we pulled it out, it was really dirty. The wall of the show had dark spots in the grout -- thinking it might be mold. The person who was at the desk when we got there charged our credit card $101.00, even though we had paid through Hotels.com. The beds were good and the breakfast was delicious - getting to eat at the Ankeny Diner for the breakfast was great.

No towels at the pool. had to go ask for them and then it was a small pretty useless one. AC was great and the beds were very good. Not worth $200 a night. Several other hotels are in the neighborhood go stay there. I have ever stayed in many Wyndham hotels this is at the bottom of them. I will not stay here in the future.

There was large amounts of mold in my room (129) It was on and behind the chair, on the bed frame, headboard, floors, walls, and inside the AC unit. The shower had a crappy drop ceiling filled with water and mold. My sheets were never changed, room never cleaned

This is an older motel with a new facade on the front entrance and the rooms have been recently renovated. Unfortunately the walls are thin and can hear EVERYTHING in the next room through the connecting door. One bonus is the morning breakfast which is at the connecting diner with made to order meals, good portions, and fast service. #1 option was two eggs, hash browns, and toast.

The hotel is a little bit outdated. Our room had a bit of an odd smell, and our bedding was damp when we went to bed. The room was clean and fair for the price. I do like that the hotel is connected to the diner, and they offer a voucher. We did not use the pool or gym.

Best part of the room was the shades on the window: made room super dark! Floor was damp but that could be because it was hot the week we went. There was no “free breakfast” as the website lists.

Water was coming from the base of the toilet once flushed - water in floor coming from room next door. Dirty water coming from tub drain. This was found when we woke up in the morning. The air was damp while sleeping. The coffee in lobby didn’t have cream available. Told the front desk about the room. They apologized for the inconvenience. That was it ! We spent money on this !
