Lovely property in beautiful location between beach and mountains. Easy drive into the town. Kevin, our host, provided delicious cooked breakfasts and was very entertaining with a great sense of humour. Our room and bathroom were spacious and had a lovely sitting area outside. This is a beautiful property, less than 10 minutes from the center of Kaikoura. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. The breakfast is amazing, with coffee, tea and snacks always available. The owners (Kevin and Ann) are gracious and very friendly. All in all, it's perfect!

This is an exceptional B and B. Amazing hosts, beautiful outlook of the sea and Kaikoura ranges, fabulous rooms and a breakfast that was beyond anything you can imagine. I loved the very well stoked tea and coffee station and the use of the fridge/freezer. It was hard to leave this amazing property along with all it's wonderful farmyard friends.

Very comfortable stay. Very genial hosts. Excellent breakfast of fruit, yoghurt and pancakes/crepes followed by a cooked breakfast and toast. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious, with a large shared seating area immediately outside. There is also a large shared lounge (where breakfast is served) to sit and enjoy tea, coffee, etc. It's possible to interact with the owner's lovely dog and the kunekune pigs. The property is a short drive outside Kiakoura - very easy to get to the whale watching trip

Appreciated the personal touches

Really lovely stay, appreciated that the owner personally took us round the farm, so my six month old son could meet the pigs, alpaca's, geese, cows and other livestock, had a lively puppy as well. Breakfast was terrific and the owner was always friendly and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone and we would stay there again.

Wonderful B&B

We had an excellent stay at the Awatea Country B&B. Our host Kevin was friendly, helpful and professional. The B&B is spacious and Quite nice - just a few minute drive from town. Breakfast was tasty, our room with bath was comfy, and getting to help feed the animals was fun! We highly recommend Awatea Country B&B.
