Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, check-in was easy and the gentleman at the front desk was a delight to speak with. The room was clean and well presented, it had all the amenities required and expected. Bathroom was immaculate and bedding was obviously freshly laundered. The room was mostly in good condition, but there was a prior guest's clothing under a bed. The highway noise is very noisy at all hours. It was difficult to park close to the room, especially with many large trucks taking up space in the carpark. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery, and dishwashing items provided were appreciated. The pool was great and not crowded. The owner ranted at us at check in for not booking directly with them, which was an unpleasant and disappointing start to the stay after we had spent the day travelling.

We had a great two night stay at Abel Tasman Motor Inn. Booked a 2 room unit and stayed with our 4 kids who loved having their own seperate room with their own TV! Staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and spacious, well stocked kitchen facilities and bathroom (enough soap and shampoo for all 6 of us which meant no fighting over who got to wash their hair when!), huge bathroom, room was serviced daily which is better service than we've had in 4 star hotels lately. We were in Dubbo to go to Western Plains Zoo which was a 3 minute drive down the road. Close to Woolies and the Ninja Warrior park across the road was a huge hit with the kids. Would definitely recommend, and we will be back! Thanks Abel Tasman

Disappointing to be woken early by cleaners

Regular visitor to Dubbo and first time staying here. Room was spacious and comfortable, however I have marked down on the comfort rating due to the early morning noise from the cleaners trolley. I was staying 2 nights and around 8am was awoken by the noise of the cleaner's trolley outside my room and then at 8.45am was woken again by a knock on the door, even though I was staying a second night and checkout isn't until 10am. Motel is within walking distance to the Dubbo Zoo, Macquarie River and a few eatery options.
