An excellent, excellent stay at the Galle Face Hotel. The staff were so kind and attentive, especially the entire guest relations team of Darshi, Viduni, Kithara, Dinushi, and Ivoni, who surprised us with a gorgeous setup for our anniversary, and Kenan who gave us a special hotel 'heritage tour.' We stayed 2 days, but the kids were so sad to leave. The breakfast was expansive and delicious, and the swimming pool is apparently the only hotel salt pool in Sri Lanka. The sunset viewing area is beautiful and just everything about this hotel was wonderful.

Great location and nice to stay in such an historic hotel. The room was comfortable but lacked some of the modern amenities - although recently renovated. Only warm water at best in the shower. Breakfast was great as was the meal we had in the 1864 Restaurant. We would definitely stay there again as the overall experience outweighed the few negatives.
