I had a pretty disappointing experience at Travelodge and wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
The main issue was with the room conditions, specifically the bathroom lighting, which wouldn’t turn off. Even after being moved to a different room, the same problem persisted. It made it extremely difficult to sleep, especially since the bathroom has glass walls and the light couldn’t be blocked out.
What was most frustrating, though, was how the situation was handled. Despite the ongoing inconvenience and disruption to my stay, the hotel declined to offer any partial refund or meaningful resolution. Considering the issue directly impacted basic comfort and sleep, this response felt dismissive.
Thankfully, Hotels.com stepped in and reimbursed me for part of the stay, which I appreciated. However, that only highlights the lack of accountability on the hotel’s side.
Overall, the experience fell short due to both the unresolved room issues and the lack of customer service. I’d recommend looking elsewhere if you’re expecting a comfortable and responsive stay.
