We had an amazing 8-day stay at the Basilica Hotel. The place has a very calm vibe, comfy rooms, awesome inner garden. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the city, the basilica in front of the hotel is one of the 4 major papal basilicas! We loved coming back to such a relaxed spot after long days of sightseeing. The breakfast was delicious, though we did wish the bacon was a bit crunchier. Overall, a fantastic stay that made our Roman adventure truly memorable!

Checked in and then checked out 3 hours later. Was not asked why by the front desk staff. Rooms are noisy. Guests hanging around the common toilet talking loudly. Doors banging. Could hear all the street noise through the closed windows. And finally no iron available to iron clothes. Travellers have clothes in their suitcases that get creased. I’ve never heard a hotel with no iron. So disappointed.

Very close to Termini train station, buses and public transportation. Restaurants and bars also in the area. Very clean, quiet, spacious, and super comfortable bed. Staff could be more friendly, but it was ok. The AC was blocked on 24 and took me a couple of inquiries to get it to 20. I wish we could control the temperature of our room.

Great location but very basic

The location was great - within a mile to most attractions. The bedding comforter was not clean (stains etc) & I requested new ones but they didn’t have any. The room was cleaned & large by Europe standards. Very bare bones - plastic cups that ever never replaced. Staff was nice & helpful. Skip paying extra for breakfast. Hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese & rolls. Coffee was good. Was a good value for the price.

Great value. Nice, clean rooms, professional staff. I liked seeing the nun behind the desk in the evenings. Easy access to Termini, but not TOO close--slightly closer to the Cavour metro stop than Termini, across from Sta Maria Maggiore. Wifi is iffy, however--no internet at all the first night, and weak the second. Breakfast is . . . not great. Adequate- but stale croissants, everything kind of mass-produced out of a plastic bag. I'd still stay here again.
