Fantastic location and lovely, helpful reception staff. Very clean. Decent shower. Amenities are very basic: no tea/coffee facilities in room (you can access this for free from reception but I didn’t), basic small table and chair, no hairdryer/iron (can be requested from reception), only toiletries were pump bottles of hand wash, conditioner and watered down shampoo/body wash. TV only showed BBC channels despite a remote in the room promising Netflix/Prime. My room was tiny and windowless: would I still have booked it had I known this in advance? For the price, probably; would I do it again? Probably not.
Bed was extremely low to the floor with thin mattress and pillows, I didn’t sleep much either night I stayed. Air conditioning wasn’t working and the lights on the unit flashed continuously, however I was given a small electric fan when I complained about this. Quite noisy with other guests coming and going until the wee hours, but you expect this when staying at a central, budget location and I always travel with earplugs and a sleeping mask so would recommend this to fellow travellers. The hotel shares a building with a Travelodge and I’d be tempted to try this next time as, as I say, the location is fantastic.
