Nothing fancy...and exactly what we needed. My son and I were visiting Clarkson, and just needed a no-frills place to stay. A couple of beds, wifi and a TV to wind down after a long drive, and a shower to get ready in the morning. The Inn is right around the corner from campus, making it super convenient for a campus visit. And if you do happen to forget something, Walmart is right there too, Reasonably priced, and the front desk was very polite and accommodating. And the muffins in the morning were nice to grab on the way out the door.

Great stop for anyone passing through upstate NY. Rooms are small and basic, but very clean and beds surprisingly comfortable. Service is great--the owner offered us snacks when we arrived and breakfast the next morning and pointed us to restaurants in the (small) town. There aren't many choices for where to stay in the area but you can feel comfortable choosing the Potsdam Inn.

Typical clean motel room. Bath towels were small and barely covered me. I'm not large but would need to be my high school weight to have towels fit around me properly. The bed only had the cover most people take off and sheets. Luckily there were extra blankets to put on the bed. Quiet and decent location. The early checkout (10am) was disappointing.

Cozy and quiet

The place is nice and quiet. Room was very clean. I had a little problem getting help at the desk after my 1st night...going into the office 4 times for towels, but the gentleman at the desk was super nice. The stay went well. The only problem I had was no in room coffee maker. Highly recommend.

We checked in late (9:30) and the desk staff was still available for us, which was great. The inn room was very clean, which is the most important thing for me. Clearly an effort is made to keep things tidy, painted and in decent shape. It’s a bit outdated, so if you’re looking for top of the line, this is not the place for you. If you want clean, quiet, easy parking and short drive to the schools and Market Street this is a great choice.
