Such a lovely old, quaint hotel. Excellent service, good restaurant. A bit noisy surroundings, but Hey, it's New Delhi. At night it was calm.

The hotel is lovely and unique. Staff were excellent. Kite flying was so much fun. The restaurant catered well for vegans at breakfast. Only snag is that it was a little difficult to find and there are some steep steps at the front of the building, so a little difficult for those with impaired mobility.

Overrated, and by far Staff doesn’t care about you if you are not American = looking for tips Despite the beauty of the building, it is not worth the money Noisy Located in central part of Old Delhi and not hard to get around , but they will tell you that you shouldn’t … to book tours and everything with them Please , stay somewhere else in Delhi

The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful and nice, but the area is terrible and noisy. Old delhi is not a hood place for you to get hotel there. So not going to recommend this place because of the area around this hotel.

An old fashioned gem in the darkest of lanes.

Lovely hotel. A little incongruous in its setting and the surrounding lanes do not seem to have benefitted from the oppulence of the hotel. Prices are very high for drinks even given the setting. We swapped a book and were charged so the hotel to label their paperbacks to avoid confusion. Staff are lovely. Reception were unclear on taxi charges and misquoted initially. Pictures of the hotel belie its setting which felt unfair. However, ovetall a somewhat surreal experience as the hotel tries hard to be like something from the past while catering to the whims of modern clientelle.

This place is a piece of Indian Nirvana heaven. Order the paneer cannoli with the Delhi 6 drink and stay a few days and be treated like god herself. I Have traveled much of the world and nothing compares to this. Nothing. I’ve already booked my return. Thank you to entire staff who made India the no.1 country in the world fir world class stay food elegance history and crazy insane fun! Indian hospitality is something you must experience and you can have it all here at this amazing haveli.

Haveli Dharampura is beautiful -- it's like staying in a history museum. And the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I loved spending the evening on the rooftop flying kites with the other guests and then going down for dinner and watching the dancers perform while we all ate. My only advice (as a solo female traveler) is to ensure you arrive before dark and to make arrangements for your arrival with the hotel. In general, Old Delhi is not suitable for females to walk alone at night. I took an Uber from the airport and because of the location, cars cannot pull up directly in front of the hotel. I had to walk several hundred meters down a back alley with my belongings to reach the hotel. More than one man stopped me to say it wasn't safe for me to be alone in that time. If I stayed again, I would arrange transportation with the hotel to ensure someone met me at the car.

Amazing hotel! Only 1 negative: location is in the heart of Old Delhi; so the staff has to meet you up the street at the police station to help you with your bags. Then you have to walk to the hotel through a back ally. However… totally worth it!! We loved the architecture. We got all dressed up and spent more than an hour taking family pictures around the building. The rooms were romantic and spotless. Probably the best beds we experienced in our month across India. Best bed linings ever. Staff went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable. The rain poured so we missed the kite flying and pigeons. Sad. Live dancing was fun. Way too loud! But unique 5 minute walk from tons of restaurant. Or do the food tour!! As an international tourist I don’t eat anything cold from the street (juice, anything made with ice, most sweets, even dips like chutney, etc) but I would trust the hot food: tandoori, kabobs, fresh naan, parathas, etc. yum. Great hotel in Old Delhi.

The room was very clean and beautifully furnished and decorated with attractive fittings. The bathroom was compact but well equipped and designed. However, the slightly squint and cheap toilet seat spoilt the overall luxurious feel. The air conditioning was efficient and comforting and the rooms were quiet, easy places to relax privately.

had a really nice couple of nights at the Havelli. quite a unique place I think. It’s in the heart of old Delhi but all things considered remarkably peaceful. I wasn’t entirely sure when I read the reviews but I’m glad I went there. Some clarification for those who are uncertain 1. It’s on a little pedestrian lane that’s actually not too busy and very sweet. 2. Incredibly centrally located. A couple of minutes walk from the mosque. 3. Felt very safe. The usual warnings about pick pockets but I never felt in the slightest bit worried. 4. access is actually quite easy. Bike tuk tuks will take you pretty much to the door. and the road is only a minute or so walk away. 5. there is another property about 50 yards away which also sounds lovely but I didn’t stay there. 6. very fine restoration. I’m told it took five years and I can believe it. I don’t know that you’d want to stay there for a week. Just because old Delhi is a bit overwhelming. But for two or three nights it’s an experience not to be missed. A haven of peace in a cacophonous frenetic but fascinating part of the city.

Special renovated time machine in central Delhi

A special place to stay right in the heart of Old Delhi. Not easy to get to by taxi, but the hotel sent a runner out to the main street to help with luggage and guidance. Worth the extra effort!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Haveli. I felt the building itself had so many stories to share and a must stay for anybody wanting an authentic Delhi experience. The staff were extremely hospitable and accomodating. It was like staying in a close friend’s home. The only downside was the surrounding streets of Old Delhi. Whilst it was safe and provided a short walk to Jama Masjid and the Ref Fort, it’s not the cleanest surroundings - this is no fault of the property itself.
